Captain Applications
National teams are created and managed by Captains chosen out of submitted applications. Each Captain will pick the best possible roster amongst their nation and guide them to victory! There are no restrictions on which players you can field in your team, so long as they are of your country’s nationality and are eligible to play in ETF2L. We are not allowing players to change nationalities. If you have previously played for a nations cup team, 6v6 or Highlander, you are locked to that country and may not play for a different nation. If you have any queries, please contact the admin team.
To apply, send an email to [email protected], explaining why you should be your country’s captain and describe your planned national roster. Applicants who have experience leading successful ETF2L teams and a good reputation in the scene will be given priority. This should be self explanatory, but you must include your nickname and your ETF2L profile link in the application letter.
Also, please use the pre-fix [ETF2L] in your email’s subject, for example: [ETF2L] NC10 Captain Application England.
Captain Applications will close on Sunday, 23rd June at 18:00 CEST. Only approved Captains and their National Teams will be added to the competition. Up to 32 countries can be represented, so if we reach that number before the deadline, applications will be closed. However, if we do not reach 32 teams, we may have to reduce numbers to 16.
Format
We will be using the map pick/ban system for the Group Stage games. Maps will be decided using the following Map Elimination System:
Both teams need to agree on who eliminates first. If the two teams cannot agree, they need to perform a heavy fist fight. The winner of this heavy fist fight can decide if he wants to start or if the other team should.
Team A bans a map
Team B bans a map
Team A picks a map
Team B picks a map
The structure for playoffs is subject to change, depending on the amount of signups and teams remaining at the end of the Group Stages.
