The following players have been caught cheating by our Anti-Cheat team. They will be banned from ETF2L for one year:

The following players have been caught with VAC bans affecting TF2, and will be banned from the league for one year:
+51 inactive ETF2L accounts.
As these players have not been caught cheating by our staff, their match results are not affected.
League Admins
We are once again looking for more volunteers to help run and maintain the league.
Among other things league admins take admin requests on IRC, deal with match conflicts, handle the setting of Default Dates and the verification of played matches. They also create and oversee cups.
Dealing with match conflicts is a task that has to be addressed in a timely fashion. Additionally providing support during match times is quite important. therefore we cannot really employ admins who have team commitments every four to five times per week. Same goes for creating and overseeing cups. It is always easier said than done, having the idea and setting up a cup is only a small part of actually running a cup. Being there when the cup is under way, providing match support, addressing conflicts, lending out servers, seeding further rounds, verifying finished matches and many more tasks have to be handled, while possibly over 100 matches are going on simultaneously, you may not be alone, but you will be part of it.
Also something we want to address is our interest in self-managed admins, we will not take you by the hand and lead you through everything there is to do. YOU have to show interest, YOU have to ask what you can do, YOU have to prove you really want to be an admin. There are plenty of admins around almost all the time, who are happy to help you and show you the ropes, but at some point routines will have to be dealt with without someone telling you that they need to be done. At the same time, communicating with other admins is very important, to avoid certain tasks being done twice, conflicting results in decisions or even decisions overwriting previous ones.

Hey. It’s not like I care about this dead game anyway. But I don’t really want to be banned for something that I didn’t commit. Especially, loosing face in front of the community that I used to spend time with for quite a long time.
Regarding the VAC ban. The VAC ban is from CS:GO. Therefore, the games like TF2, CS:Source, CS 1.6, basically, all games cannot be affected in any way.
I will show you the screenshot when I will be home, but, eh, yeah. It is not nice to ban people before asking what the VAC ban was of. Especially claiming the things that you are not sure of (affecting TF2). Once again, I don’t really care. It’s just all about saving my face, and, well, AC admins, I am pretty sure you don’t want to look incompitent.

Mirelin, you can go to http://etf2l.org/support/ instead of downloading an IRC client. Your profile is private, so our tool flagged your account as TF2 VAC banned.

sonny black isn’t admin anymore and he hasn’t told us whether it’s for tf2 or not. you also don’t have to download a client ( http://etf2l.org/support/ ).
if you want your face to be saved then maybe don’t get vac banned in the first place? the only reason you seem to be upset is because you think you deserve some sort of special treatment and while i admire your achievements, we as staff don’t think anyone deserves special treatment when it comes to anything AC related.

I don’t give a single fuck about special treatment even though I still believe that I deserve a little bit understanding. I retired from this game some years ago, and I don’t plan to come back. I am sorry for calling this game dead, although it is not doing that well, it was very disrespectful of me towards all people who play it.

You not receiving an email was my error.
I’m new to the team and had done some vac bans. At ETF2L we are supposed to send out a mass communication email to those who got league banned because of VACs, I just never sent that email. We have a completely different setup at UGC with automated emails and I’m still learning the ropes over here. The reason you were league banned was because your profile was private thus I was unable to confirm which game you were banned on, so to take a “better safe than sorry” approach you were banned here until you could reach out to us to clear the matter.

Do you not have prime Mirelin? I don’t remember the last time I ran into a spinbotter or anyone blatantly cheating on my main account.
I have played both on prime and non prime. Most of the times wins the team that has a better spinbot. In a prime matches people mostly play with aimbot though. Check FIXCSGO.
I just want to be clear on some things as the AC senior. Every ban post we tend to have about 70+ accounts that get a VAC ban. More than twice that amount is detected by the site and filtered out. For example on the May VAC wave, we had over 200. Valve also has made some changes that makes it very difficult to ascertain which game this VAC ban affects, and for those reasons we can’t add users anymore to ascertain what it’s for. There simply are too many people getting a VAC so letting them come to us after the fact is the best we can do.
Honestly your name was discussed @Mirelin and most of us were pretty sure it was for CSGO, but as your steam profile was privated and as we had never added any other accounts on the previous banposts to verify them, we felt it would be wrong to give special treatment and handled it like any other detection. If that action caused us to look incompetent, then so be it.
Sadly sometimes the ban post is what it takes to get users to contact us and verify that it’s not for tf2, so it’s quite effective in that way. If Valve would actually tell it’s users what the VAC is for, this problem would be solved overnight. It’s not a personal thing for us, we just try to follow their detections the best we can.

Everyone gets removed from teams when blacklisted or banned. That’s automatic. You can contact the League admins at irc and ask them to be put back in the teams.
The only misunderstanding here is that you got VAC banned and failed to contact us about it. The e-mail is just a courtesy to remind our players to do this. I suggest taking your outrage to Valve if you feel they’ve made a mistake but for us we don’t care if the VAC isn’t for tf2 as what people want to do in other games isn’t our business.

I have taken my outrage to Valve already. I made sure to deliver them a message that they are filthy amateurs that can’t take a proper grip on the cheat developers. Almost every game I have to face facetious remarks from fucking spinbotters about me using the same spinbot just to invent some competition against their cheats. And the worst thing is, in NA, it’s atleast 1 player using spinbot in every game.
Even if you write CS:GO in google, the first thing that always pops out is: Private CS:GO cheats for monthly subscription. LOL
Btw, 1 month later, still no VAC or Overwatch ban on the second account. LOL!
