In other, arguably less important news, we have two games this Sunday to wrap up Week 3 of Highlander Season 11. Kicking things off we have returning favourites Stacked, looking for their first points of the season, facing off against new boys Budget Toucans, who have made a surging start to their first Premiership season by killing off old man Chronos in their first game, followed by a comprehensive victory over Super Dickmann's JUNIORS!. In our second clash of the evening we’ll see the two biggest Dicks in Prem go head-to-head, with Super Dickmann's KANNONEN! crossing swords with Super Dickmann's JUNIORS! in a true bout of Jungle Fever on Borneo.

Stacked have been living up to their legend by underachievening thus far – failing to take points from their first two games, both of which b33p will have felt were winnable. There’s no lack of talent on the team, with amppis fragging enemy gamers almost as regularly as he cuts his own teammates, Sniper Piney clicking heads like a champ, love of b33p‘s life SUZY holding his hand through every uber exchange. This new-look Stacked shows promise in its more stable roster than previous incarnations, with the team seeming much more in sync than their last outing. Only time will tell if they can pull all the pieces together to finally put in a strong showing in the playoff stages of the season.

On the other hand, Budget Toucans have exceeded all expectations by maintaining an unbeaten record going into this match, sitting pretty in second place with the opportunity to draw level with Strong Opinions and Tourettes Chessclub if they can take all 6 points from this fixture. Shaggy put in a massive performance last week, clearly outdamaging every other player across two maps, while Jelly backed him up with some impressive numbers on Sniper. The Toucans’ tight combo play will make them very hard to break down on Borneo. The one area of concern could be the incredibly strong flank of Stacked, so Pyro Vclox_ and Heavy Maccy will need to be on constant patrol to keep fresh-faced Medic MARS^ safe from marauding Scouts and Spies. Expect these cash-strapped dinosaur descendents to come into the match brimming with confidence.

Onto match number two we go, and this one could be explosive: Emperor Burn looking to crush his young apprentice Darth Nate in some sort of generation-spanning Sniper battle, perhaps featuring LIGHTNING FINGERS?

Super Dickmann's KANNONEN! are coming into this game from a week spent reclining in the hot tub with a flagon of mulled wine, due to the unfortunate Chronos taking his dropping skills to the next level and gifting each team a bye week this season. There is a risk that some rust could have set in, but after an enthralling Week 1 clash with PremTech ending in a Golden Cap win these fine fellows should still be on their toes. sp had high hopes for his team in the pre-season show, so this is a match that he’ll be desperate to impose his influence on. Old hands anni and Eniere bring stability to the combo, with the core of the roster intact from their Title-winning performance in the High Division last season.

Super Dickmann's JUNIORS!, meanwhile, have two consecutive weeks of intense gaming behind them after taking down Stacked in week 1 followed by a heartbreaking loss to Budget Toucans last week. Their standout players can wreak havoc on enemy teams with their hyper-aggressive play, Julez and and Nightmare harrassing the flanks while veteran Demo CbIHoK ceremonially burns his S key in a sacrifice to the Gods, flinging ecstatic armfuls of sticky bombs all over the place and opening up swathes of space for his team. While this chaotic approach may help to disrupt their rivals, they need to be careful not to leave holes in their own defences for the more experienced team to exploit. One thing’s for sure – both teams will be going for it as hard as they can in this one.
