The biggest TF2 event of the year, insomnia52, is drawing to a close. Over the past two days 26 teams played a total of 99 matches until there were only two teams left. Tomorrow at 11.00 CEST, Froyotech and Epsilon eSports walk onto the grand stage in Ricoh Arena, Coventry to fight for the title of TF2 world champions. Froyotech, one of the two teams sent over by the American fundraiser had a bit of a shaky start in the group stage, going into the knockouts as the third seed with a 5-2 record after losses to both Epsilon eSports and Team Immunity. They came back strong in the Knockout stage though, knocking out every opposing team without dropping a single map, getting revenge on Epsilon eSports in the Upper Bracket Final to go through on to the grand stage.

Epsilon eSports came out all guns blazing in the group stage, winning all their games and going into the knockouts as the first seed. During the knockouts they first barely edged past Classic Mixup and then got knocked down to the lower bracket by their fellow finalists Froyotech. In the consolation final they once again faced Classic Mixup and came out winners after a very intense match featuring two golden cap rounds and multiple memorable plays.
