New Site Design Beta Now Available!

Those of you who read our forums might already know that 
CHERRY has been working on an overhaul of the ETF2L frontend. We’re happy to announce that the new design is ready for public testing and we’re inviting you to give it a try and provide feedback!
Aside from the aesthetic overhaul, the theme also introduces a number of new features, including:
- Compatibility with mobile devices!
- Popovers for players and teams on mouse over
- Visual formatting editor for forum posts and comments
Arie‘s competitive server list integration- TF2Pickup.net status integration
If you wish to opt into the beta, simply visit the beta site or click the message at the top of the page. To opt out of the beta, click the message at the top of the beta site. Having an account or logging in is not necessary, but you must have cookies enabled.
As the new design is still in active development, there may be some rough edges and some aspects of the design may be subject to change before release. If you have any suggestions, find a bug or just want to say how much you like(or don’t like) the new design, please post in the feedback thread on our forums.

Is the font for blind people? Using 1650×1050 it looks like it at least. So much scrolling can be removed by just using reasonable font size.
p.s. if the news post is long it would also be intuitive to be able to click anywhere on news post to open it, instead of clicking only (more) or subject line.

Please don’t argue with me about font size. I literally can open any website i have in my bookmarks and font size there would be 2-4pt smaller than it is here. So since the comment section is so horribly spacy the font makes it just a catastrophe.

The font is 14pt Open Sans. It’s pretty standard.
You think I did all that criticism and missed the font size?! :’)

Looking good. I would change only 2 things:1) Background makes it look a bit cluttered, seems to look fine with solid color.2) Make logo/sponsors area bit smaller, now content starts halfway through screen.

It’s really awesome, it will also helps pickup a lot, maybe at least 100 gamers will be there online :o just afraid tragic div6 will get there and partly ruin it.

Can you please revert it to showing stuff in days instead of weeks, months and years? It looks much nicer imo, and this just annoys me so much for some reason

All in all, the redesign looks very modern, well done :)
I have to agree to others before me though. The amount of information you see on the screen is significantly less than before. Probably for several reasons, the larger font and huge avatars being two of them.

will be lots of criticism, it’s still in beta and there are probably
some bugs and features to be ironed out, but this is probably the most
impactful update to our league since allowing unlocks.
This is a huge step in the right direction, looks much more
professional and clean. Thank you. Finally we’re not in 2004 anymore.
I like the new looks but as it was mentioned before the font looks very big, if i zoom out to 75% (check for yourselves) in chrome its the perfect seeting for me, and im using 22″ monitor (1680×1050) .
– in my opinion the avatars and infor could be on the left side and not on top so it takes less space and the font should be a tad smaller.
Overall looks very primising. Nicely done and props for all the work youve done CHERRY
“Search for players/team” system is great. I like the Player Profile, with the exception that old dates were cooler.
Hmmm i will stick with the previous theme… the new one is a bit too dark and there’s really nothing new justifying the use of it
I don’t like how It looks to be honest, kind of too chaotic as well.
Too much of that blue color and therefore it kind of blends in with the background and makes it look more messy. Just need more colors for contrast.

I feel like I would need to browse on a portrait screen just to see anything, everything looks just slightly too big. Each huge object looks nice though!
This beta design is way better than the old one.
