    #22 on waiting list, NICE.

maybe make an extra bracket next time you find youve got 134 people extra hoping to play.

  2. OCTANE said:

teams that got destroyed in d6 in medium bracked. ok

  3. quell: UbeR | said:

    74 teams total LOL

  4. Coleman: TEZC - TEZC said:

A fair few fun teams with low end HL players signed up. They had to be in low as it’s some of their first time playing comp. This forced teams with more 6v6 experience up I’m afraid.

  5. DamnEasy said:

We signed up at #40 and we didnt even get on brackets, gg

  6. hr said:

yeah admin says he will verify player, then doesn’t bother so we get fucked over, thanks again etf2l admins

  7. DamnEasy said:

3rd cup i couldnt play cuz admins being stupid lol

  8. Piddox: Fe | said:

    1) Communicate to the community that signups close at 18 or w/e.
    2) Manual labour, why?!?! Build an algorithm that generates equal brackets.
    That’s all.

  9. Coleman: TEZC - TEZC said:

I’ll take any flack for the brackets. It’s my first time doing it which isn’t an excuse. I was trying to keep the brackets fair which is why some teams didn’t make it in. I’ve since been told that it’s first come first serve. All i can do is apologise.

  10. DamnEasy said:

    MAKE MORE BRACKETS THEN

  11. hr said:

So you knew less than I knew simply by looking at the main page of the website then coleman? and you wonder why people criticise etf2l admins.

  12. Coleman: TEZC - TEZC said:

We had to have brackets of 16. We didn’t have enough to make any more brackets. I can see that you’re very upset and i sympathise. Hopfully you’ll make it in to the next cup.

  13. quell: UbeR | said:

coleman thats bullshit it says theres 50+ teams still waiting right there in the team panel so unless im CONFUSED?

also when i get told im #22 on the waiting list that means theres room for extra brackets right there?

  14. quell: UbeR | said:

honestly if its your first time, mistakes happen but this seems pretty retarded.

  15. DamnEasy said:

Ofc im upset i couldnt play last few cups because of stupid brackets that fuck up in every possible way.

  16. hr said:

Well to be honest I don’t like people wasting my time, I spent a good deal of time arranging this after seeing it on the main page and signups were not at 64 when I entered the team, now whether it is because of you or freakie who told me that he would verify my player and then didn’t I don’t care we deserved to be entered and shit like this seems to happen every single time with these cups.

At the point when the brackets were being drawn and created, we only had 8 teams. So another bracket wasn’t an option. The whole process takes a few hours, so adding them at a late hour is very hard to do. If you feel you can do a better job please apply to be an admin.

  18. Piddox: Fe | said:

If the process takes a few hours, you can either:
    1) Make the deadline early and make the people aware about this deadline
    2) Change the process so it goes faster

Don’t do nothing please, that would be a lack of leadership.

  19. Permzilla: (Legend) - (☞゚ヮ゚)☞ - WiK? said:

@quell – You signed up past the deadline, and you were the 21st FUN TEAM to sign up, not the 21st overall. (Only 22 fun teams signed up.)

@OCTANE – I just went through and checked, I don’t see anyone you are talking about in the Medium Brackets.

@DamnEasy – Again, you signed up past the initial deadline, and you were the 49th 6V6 team to sign up, not the 49th total team to sign up.

@Piddox – Every cup we do has had random fixtures drawn, we’re not going to go through and individually seed 64 teams the same day as the cup.

@quell – All the teams in the cup are still displayed on the waiting list stil. In total there were 72 signups for the competition – enough for 4 brackets of 16 and 8 backups.

  20. quell: UbeR | said:

    @permzilla

alright in that case we were misinformed (an admin saying we were 22st in waiting list and later mentioning the number 74 in queue total)

wasnt aware of any deadline (figured the deadline was when brackets would be formed)

thanks for the explanation and i apologize to coleman.

  21. Permzilla: (Legend) - (☞゚ヮ゚)☞ - WiK? said:

Yes, you were the 22nd fun team to sign up, and the 68th team overall out of 72.

The deadline is technically then, correct, but obviously we can’t seed you if we have 8 teams spare.

  22. Brassie said:

Tonight was great fun, do it again! :p

Coleman did a great job, especially as a first timer.

  24. KraKen said:

Gotta say it was close against those norwegians, funny enough the map we thought we could win on we didn’t win on heh G-pit surely fucked us up good. Rooting for those norwegians! Prem HL players all the way!

  25. SorroW: iveR - VDOH said:

    great cup! v.fun, again plz

  26. Piddox: Fe | said:

@Permzilla, if you don’t “individually seed” the teams, why does it take a few hours to make the brackets?

  27. Permzilla: (Legend) - (☞゚ヮ゚)☞ - WiK? said:

@Piddox – First we are continuously creating the brackets to try to put as many teams in a bracket as possible, and waiting for inevitable drops just before the cup begins. Once that is done we have to individually add each team into their respective bracket. Once that is done the draws in #etf2l can begin. Once we have the draws we have to manually enter each fixture into the website and create the pages where the tournament tree’s can be seen.

So while it might sound quite simple, it’s actually quite a bit of work. Which sums these cups up quite nicely.

  28. Piddox: Fe | said:

Ok, I understand. The community should be well aware of this early deadline then. It clearly wasn’t this time.
