The eve of the ETF2L grand final is finally upon us, and promising upstarts Crack Clan have defeated every other Premiership team to get into a position where they can challenge Epsilon eSports, the reigning champions of the ETF2L premier league.

On the line are of course not only bragging rights but also the biggest prize pool in ETF2L’s history. The winner goes home with €1,500 cash, 6x Tt eSPORTS MEKA G-UNIT Keyboards and 6x Tt eSPORTS Battle Dragon Bags. The loser has to be content with “only” 750€, 6x Tt eSPORTS THERON mice and 6x Tt eSPORTS LADON mousepads.

Congratulations to  Epsilon eSports for securing themselves the title as ETF2L champion for the 5th time! Big ups to  Crack Clan as well, they put up a good fight and it was a great match to watch.

I had a chat with Admirable from  cc// for a round of humorous responses which narrowly dodge the questions:

C: Afternoon Ads – How are you personally feeling ahead of the big game tonight?

A: I was feeling pretty good until I had to deal with this amateur interview bullshit. You just give me a list of predetermined questions? What the fuck! Get on my level, idiot.

C: How much does a win mean for you and your team tonight?

A: A win is just a by-product of executing what we have practised and learned as a team this season. The result of this fixture means nothing to me, I just want to see us perform well and demonstrate a continued growth, but these aren’t the words of a defeated man; I have every intention of winning.

C: You’ve seen how capable Epsilon are on Snakewater this season. How do you intend to beat them at their own game?

A: Snakewater was our map pick, despite losing 5-1 to Epsilon in the main season. We dominated them on the mid fights and yet generally failed on every other point on the map. I think we are lucky to have had so many opportunities to fail before now. Losing rounds is nothing new to us, but I’m not sure how Epsilon will handle it; I wouldn’t be surprised to see a total collapse from them in the Grand Final.

C: Who’s going to cause problems for you tomorrow?

A: Any round we lose will be down to our own failing as a team rather than exceptional play from our opponents. Our individual players are not outgunned in this matchup; in fact I think it is quite the opposite. Numlocked generally seems to be quite reluctant to engage Retsh0ck, so I guess we should worry about the other five.

C: How are you going to win tomorrow?

A: Epsilon make a lot of good decisions and they play quite differently from other teams in the Premier Division, but they are no less predictable. We have seen how they play and know what to expect. People call them a “super team”, but once you look beyond the hype I think there are plenty of weaknesses to exploit.

C: Do you have any shoutouts?

A: Shoutout to that crazy Canadian motherfucker, cc//dox, for his genuine passion and energy for all things Crack Clan. His sheer belief is our inspiration! Shoutout to everyone who contributes to making our scene what it is; Skyride, Comedian, CanFo to name but a few from a list of dedicated souls at VanillaTV and ETF2L. Even you, Chaplain!

C: Any messages for Epsilon?

A: I love you wltrs!

C: Afternoon Mike – How are you personally feeling ahead of the big game tomorrow?

M: Fine, our performance as of late makes us pretty sure of victory :)

C: How much does a win mean for you and your team tomorrow?

M: With an arguable upset caused by cc lately (well deserved might I add) we would be very pleased with ourselves upon victory as we were 90% sure our opponents would be BFF so these guys are obviously keen, which would make our victory sweeter :P

C: You’ve seen CC’s strength on snakewater this season. How do you intend to beat them at their own map?

M: If snakewater is considered cc’s best map we will have no problems on it

C: Who’s going to cause problems for you tomorrow?

M: (Hopefully not) TviQ – his plays vs BFF were, in my opinion, the reason cc won and not only is he a sick sniper, dying to a sniper in particular is especially frustrating which could aid them on the psychological front

C: How are you going to win tomorrow?

M: By staying level-headed and doing what we do best… Winning?

C: Do you have any shoutouts?
