New Player System, Big Action tonight, Nations Cup Update

New Player System

A lot of work has been done in the background and we are glad to announce a major internal change in our Player-System. Our site admin ST8 worked out a new system which finally manages us to have a clear Database of all active Team Fortress 2 players.

General overview of new Player System:

• Every active playing TF2 player got his own profile [Screen]
• Registered players can update their profile with details [Link]
• Every player has to enter his SteamID at the profile
• Once you have entered your SteamID, you are able to join/leave registered teams/fun teams
• You will be added to a teams’ roster after 24 hours
• Unregistered players have to register at the site or get registered by his team leader (see next point)
• If players are too lazy to register, team leaders are able add players to their team by creating an account for them [Link]
• Team leaders need to accept players that have asked to join their team at roster page “Edit Players”. Team leaders need to re-add their entire squad

We are using our old Player-Database as backup for the upcoming games and ask all teams to sort out their roster within the next 2 weeks, at which point the new rosters will be shown. If there are any bugs or problems please contact an admin.

The 1^st Round of biggest TF2 Cup in history is almost finished, 52 out of 64 games are decided, the last 12 will happen tonight.

Round 2 will start straight away, our big Live IRC Drawing for the 2^nd Round will take place at 19:30 CET in our IRC channel #etf2l @ QuakeNet!

Please start contacting your new opponent in the coming days to schedule the game. Don’t forget to add it in our Calendar.

Shortly after our Live Drawing is finished, we will open Sign-Ups for our upcoming Fun Cup Tournaments.

Soldier 1on1 Cup Details

• Slots: 64 (can be upped to 128)
• Gamemode: Best of 3
• Fraglimit (Round 1): 25
• Map-Pool will be published tomorrow

Basketball 2on2 Cup Details

• Slots: 32 (can be upped to 64/128)
• Gamemode: Best of 3
• Winlimit (Round 1): 15
• Timelimit (if Winlimit isn’t reached before): 20
• Allowed Classes: Demoman + Soldier

Sign-Up Details:

1. Register yourself on the site if you don’t have an account yet. (Link)
2. Go to the Fun Cup menu at Dashboard. (Link)
3. Add a Fun Cup Team. (Link)
4. Go to “Edit Roster” at the Fun Cup menu to add Players to your teams’ roster.
5. You can join the Soldier 1on1 or Basketball 2on2 Cup NOW –> (Link)
6. All Sign-Ups will get on the Waiting List first. We will give every team 2 days to fix their rosters by new player system.
7. An admin will check your Sign-Up and will verify your team to the Cup after this period.

21:00 CET – Pwnage.TV Top Match Coverage it’s a farm! vs. wotr2

After last Sunday’s showmatch Coverage between Europe’s best TF2 team 4 Kings and American’s top team Frag Dominant we are happy to announce another coverage for tonight!

Pwnage.TV will cover Division 2a Week 9 Match between last one alive lock the door (current position: 3^rd) and Weapons of the Rebelion 2 (current position: 6^th). With Division 2a still being very open, on the one hand it’s farm! still have possibility to get on 1^st or 2^nd position if they manage to win both maps and Extensia or Knights losing at least 1 map in their last game. On the other hand, Weapons of the Rebelion 2 still have to worry about finishing at a relegation place if they lose their last games.

Any kind of draw won’t help anyone, so both teams will have some hard fight for a clear win on both maps which they have to go for.

Nation’s Cup Update

First of all thanks for the big positive feedback we got for announcing this tournament. We are happy many countries are looking forward to play the tournament. As you can see above we already worked on a little Nation’s Cup banner. We hope you like it; all thanks go to minkee who also made our head banner. We are already counting 18 “Yes” of countries who are forming up a National Team and will probably participating in our Nation’s Cup. All teams will get informed with detailed information about how to sign up and take part in the next 2 days.

Season 2 ending

Yes it’s true, our official Deadline for all Season 2 Games is tonight, 23:59 CET. But of course we are having some exceptions with 4 games being scheduled for a later dates. It will be ok for these; still no more postponements are allowed for any Season 2 Game.

All games will have to be entered by coming Wednesday, 23:59 CET. We will publish a big “Ending News” shortly after and of course we will also have some Season Awards again.
