Map-Picks broken, Week 1 starting, still want a spot?

Date April 3, 2008

Week 1 Maps

As mentioned in the last Newspost already, our Map-Pick Feature is quite broken at the moment cause of an old Team-Limit on the site. The probably only person who can fix the issue, ST8, is on vacations (hope you have fun! :P) this week. We have to deal with the maps on another way on Week 1, as all Divisions apart from Division 1 are affected.

That’s the way maps will be chosen for Week 1:

  • We set two default maps for Week 1: cp_granary + cp_well
  • If both team leaders agree, maps can be changed: Then every team has the choice to pick one map (1st Team on Fixtures-Page is supposed to start).
  • Map-Picks for all other Game-Weeks will be done when the bug is fixed (probably coming Monday).
  • Exception for Division 1: As these Map-Picks work, all Division 1 Teams are supposed to submit their complete Map-Picks till coming Sunday, 22:00 CET.

If you have any questions, please use our Comment-Function or contact us on IRC.

Season 2 Week 1 starting!

First of all, as we got many questions about it, there is no “skill-level-difference” between the single Divisions (a,b,c) at one Level. For example, every Division 3 team will be able to get promoted to Division 2 in the end of the season. The general Season 2 System can be found at this link.

We also had some late changes in Division 3 and 4, all Divisions are set now. We will only replace drop teams from now on.

Edit: We had some more little changes on different Divisions, watch out if your opponent might have changed.

Some general things about the regular Season:

  • Every team has to play 1 league game every week
  • Every team needs to schedule their games by contacting your every week’s opponent. See below for instructions.
  • If you don’t manage to reach your opponent’s team leader after 2-3 days, please open a thread at our Challenge-Forum (Have a look at our Example-Thread).
  • If you have other problems, questions or issues contact us by writing !admin in our IRC channel.

When are the games supposed to be played?

  • Week 1 Period: 06.04.-13.04.
  • Week 2 Period: 13.04.-20.04.
  • Week 3 Period: 20.04.-27.04.
  • […]
  • Games will have to get scheduled and entered to the Calendar until Wednesday 23:59 CET of commencing week or league will set a Default Date.

How do I schedule a game?

  1. You can find your opponents on our Fixtures-Page.
  2. By clicking on your opponent’s team name, you will find their contact information.
  3. Contact your opponent (we recommend to use IRC) and schedule your game. Be sure you talk about all relevant aspects:
    a) Date
    b) Time
    c) Server
    e) Who will add schedule to the Calendar?
  4. After the game is scheduled, one team leader has to add it to the Calendar at this link. Choose the correct game and enter correct Date and Time (in CET).
  5. Scheduled game should now be entered at the Calendar. Please check correct Date and Time.

How do I play a game and submit the result?

  1. We recommend contact the opponent’s team leader some hours or a day before game is supposed to be played and check, if all is fine.
  2. Trade the Server-IP before the match is supposed to start and meet on the match server.
  3. When all players connected to the server, team leaders will have to do a status screenshot. Type “status” in console and screen it.
  4. Start to play the game. Make a scoreboard screenshot in the end of every map (see dustbowl exception below).
  5. After the game is finished, you can submit the result at the Dashboard (you will have to upload all 3 screenshots).
  6. An admin will check the screenshots and result as soon as possible. After the result is verified, it will be shown at Fixtures Page and points will be added at the Tables.

Season 2 Rule-Changes

From today on the following rule changes will take place. We please every team leader to read and understand our complete Rules-Page.

  • cp_dustbowl: StopWatch Mode has to be used in case of both teams managing to capture all 6 points. Always make a screenshot of the remaining time after last point is captured and upload this instead of final scoreboard screenshot.
  • cp_gravelpit, cp_dustbowl: If both teams can’t agree on who is starting to attack/defend, a melee round can be played in the beginning. Winner of melee round can decide if they want to attack or defense first.
  • If both teams pick the same map against each other, they can agree on changing it once to a 3rd-Party-Map. Map has to be chosen by Map Elimination Mode; 1st team on Fixtures Page is supposed to start. 3rd-Party-Mappool: cp_warpath, cp_labor, cp_redstone_b2, cp_science2
  • 2nd Cup: A map ending drawn is counting as drawn map (no golden cap or overtime except normal Map-Overtime if intelligence is on the run or point gets captured at 0:00).
