For the main demo spot we are looking for someone that can commit 5 days a week, ~3 hours a night (Sun-Thur from 20.00 to 23.00 CET — for this reason players from the BST or CET timezones are preferred). If you're not a no-lifer and can't deliver this amount of commitment, don't apply.

We're currently playing at a solid Div 5 level and with the right demoman I feel we can start playing Div 4 games. We would very much prefer to find a player that is (relatively) new to TF2 and has the apparent talent to play at this level already, but as nobody in the world plays demoman anymore these days, we're pretty much open to anyone (so long as you speak English properly).

We're not too fussed about a specific demoman playstyle – we can adapt to whatever. Just do what you're good at. We are going to be picky, though. We believe a team's play revolves around their demoman and as such it is important that you fit in the team well.

Other stuff:

You:
– know how to damage stuff on mid (and call it)
– listen to and respect the maincaller (our medic)
– can have fun but put on your serious face once games start
– are dedicated towards improvement
– enjoy "doing tactics", going over demos with the rest of the team, and other team-building related stuff
– aim to improve quickly along with the rest of us
– will be happy to wear our tag and customised avatar
– don't have a team history the length of the Great Wall of China

We:
– are led by a div3-ish medic who has dropped back to div5 to work on maincalling and as such wish to improve back to a div4/3 level quickly
– are very serious in-game, and as a result very relaxed and full of fun outside games
– are all open to criticism so that we can point out eachother's mistakes and work towards fixing them
– are part of the TC community, so we have a server and mumble etc

Pretty much the same as most of the points above. We will love our backup player and actually give you games. We will most likely need a scout on mondays and a solly on thursdays (subject to change), and of course there are going to be exceptions with people being asleep/sick/having sex/studying/etc. on other days.

Some other points:

You:
– can play at least 2 of the listed classes at a solid div5 level or think you can improve to this level quickly (see below)
– are able to play *at least* 2 days in the week between 20.00 and 23.00 CET (for this reason players from the BST or CET timezones are preferred)
– aren't less serious just because you're a backup
– enjoy "doing tactics", going over demos with the rest of the team, and other team-building related stuff
– aim to improve quickly along with the rest of us
– will be happy to wear our tag and customised avatar
– don't have a team history the length of the Great Wall of China

We:
– aren't recruiting a backup for the sake of it – you WILL actually get games with us
– will not treat you as "just a backup player" – we need someone on the sidelines that plays on the same level as whoever you'd be replacing

Once again, we will not treat you as "just a backup player" – you will not be merely a meaningless addition to our roster. Just over a year ago I recruited yoyotech's TviQ as a div6 backup player. Just saying! =D
