EDIT: Due to one team deciding to drop there are no qualifying matches for Premiership season 18

The Highlander Season 18 Premiership Qualifiers are hereby announced. Feila eSports slim shady edition and inVision will keep their Premiership spot based on last seasons performance. Based on the applications received and past results we have decided that Strong Opinions will receive an automatic spot. This leaves 4 teams to fight for 3 spots in a double elimination bracket.

Announcing Highlander Season 18!

All the information regarding the coming Season can either be found in this newspost, or will be released shortly!

For tiers we’ll be aiming to run swiss again for Open and Mid. This is still potentially subjected to change depending on the final signup numbers.

Season Schedule

• Signups: 22nd February – 8th March 21:00 CET (Premiership signup deadline is March 1st 21:00 CET)
• Publishing of Provisional Divisions: 7th March
• Publishing of Final Divisions: 8th March
• Premiership Qualifiers: 1st – 8th March
• Main Season: 10th March – 12th April (5 Weeks)
• Break for Copenhagen Games. No games will be played between 13th – 20th April
• Playoffs: 21st April – 12th May

The fixtures for the Highlander Season 18 Preseason Cup are now released! The fixtures and tables can be seen within the competition tab in the ribbon. Remember to set your servers to the test whitelist before starting the game, the whitelist can be found here. To change the whitelist on a server running tftrue use the command rcon tftrue_whitelist_id 9715

• Group stage round 1: February 16th 19:00 CET – pl_vigil_rc4
• Group stage round 2: February 16th 20:30 CET – koth_lakeside_final
• Group stage round 3: February 16th 21:15 CET – cp_alloy_rc3

Both pl_vigil_rc4 and cp_alloy_rc3 will be played as a bo3, and koth_lakeside will be played under standard league rules

With the dust settled on Season 17, let’s start the preparation for Season 18! This one night cup will focus around testing maps for the upcoming season as well as a new whitelist!

Whitelist changes:

• Unbanned the Spycicle
• Unbanned the Reserve Shooter
• Banned the Detonator

Maps:

• pl_vigil_rc4 – This map is being tested as a potential replacement for pl_badwater
• koth_lakeside_final – This map is being tested as a potential replacement for koth_warmtic_b6
• cp_alloy_rc3– This map is being tested as a potential replacement for cp_steel

Each tier is divided into round robin groups of four teams meaning there could be multiple groups for each tier, teams that sign up sooner will be prioritized in getting a spot in the cup, so do not wait until the last minute to sign up! Keep in mind that there will not be any elimination rounds for this cup.
