ETF2L is looking for new Staff to recruit! Are you interested in supporting the league? Then click here for more details on what we can offer and how to apply!
The Sign-Up-Phase went quite amazing – both slot limits were reached in less than 18 hours. We are sorry for everyone who didn’t get a spot, but also we can’t expand the slots as many people will be on vacations shortly after the cups are supposed to end.
Due to the big request the gamemode for the Soldier 1on1 Cup is changed to “Best of 7” (first player reaching 4 points wins). Exception is a “K.O. streak” which will take place if one player wins the first three rounds. All rules are listed on the [Rules Page].
Please start to contact your Round 1 opponent; the match deadline is coming Tuesday. GL & HF to all players and teams!
Alea iacta est! Polls are closed and over 550 players decided: the next two fun cups will be a Soldier 1on1 Cup on cp_turris_b3 and a Pyro 3on3 Paintball Cup on cp_pyropaintball.
Sign Ups for both cups will already open today, at 19:30 CEST. As there will be only 64 slots each, be sure to sign fast if you want a spot. Round 1 will start in the next days and schedule will keep to a strict 1-week-rhythmus. Both competitions will be finished before the summer period.
Sign-Up-Instructions
[Create a team]. Choose 1on1 or 3on3/4on4 as team type.
Add yourself to the 1on1 team or at least 3 players to your 3on3/4on4 team.
Gamemode: Best of 19 Rounds (first team reaching 10 points wins)
Rules: Pyro only, Flaregun only
Phishing websites
As of late, a new phishing website has emerged. This particular website pretends to be the steamcommunity website, and it does a pretty good job at looking like that. Please make sure, that whenever you log in to the steam community or the steampowered website, the URL is correct and that your browser bar displays a lock icon on a green background saying “Valve Corporation”. If you can’t see the green lock, or are not on one of these 2 websites, never give out your steam login details.
Just a short reminder the two fun cup decider polls will close tonight. Currently the two “favorites” Soldier 1on1 and Basketball 2on2 are leading, but the “newcomers” Enginner 1on1 and Pyro Paintball 3on3 are closely behind. You haven’t voted yet? Take your right and shake up the result!
Sign Ups will already start Sunday evening; both cups will start shortly after so they will be finished before summer. If you want a safe spot, be sure to sign fast.
Edit: Polls are closed, Soldier (turris) 1on1 Cup and Pyro Paintball 3on3 won! Sign Ups will already start this evening. Details will be published soon.
“Why can’t we discuss in our native language?” was a frequently asked questions of the last weeks. Today we are happy to publish our solution: Country forums!
Every country forum is specified to one language and covers any discussions of your choice (as long as they aren’t against any league rules). For the start we have created four country forums of big TF2 nations. If everything goes fine we are probably adding more soon.
Season 5: General match deadline & promotion system
We have reached halftime in Season 5. With currently being in Week 6 out of 9, there are only a few weeks left till the final decisions will be made.
Due to that fact we would already like to announce the general match deadline for all Season 5 matches: Sunday, 12th July, 23:59 CEST. Please have in mind all matches will have to be submitted by this Deadline. No later dates will be accepted.
Also we have published the promotion system for our current Season. Like announced before, the Playoff Phase will be skipped due to the upcoming summer period (exception are decider matches if two teams end tied in points).
You may have a look at our tables [Link] to check all promotion (green) and relegation (red) spots.

Scout 2on2 & Sniper-1-Day-Cup: Grats to piece sucks & waiz
We are a bit late on that, but of course we would like to congratulate the winner of our lately finished fun competitions.
Piece sucks, a fun team of I Don’t Know players, had a close fight against Morty is on a mission. After they lost the first map (cp_granary) clearly (0:3), they made an excellent comeback and got the win home after three maps (cp_badlands 3:2 | cp_fastlane 3:2).
Besides, we also congratulate waiz who pretty much dominated our first Sniper 1on1 Cup and won a high quality headset from our partner SteelSeries. Have fun with it!
Fun Cups are dead. Long live the Fun Cup. ETF2L will arrange two new fun competitions of your choice in the next weeks! Yep, it’s your choice again: Vote below and decide which 1on1 and low-team-size cup will be next!
As we would like to finish these before the summer period, both cups will have a small slot limit of 64 and get a strict 1-week-rhythmus as schedule. More information will be published Sunday.
Today we proudly present a completely new section of our website.
In cooperation with own3D.tv, a high quality online video streaming platform for gamers, ETF2L.org will now host it’s own Team Fortress 2 video section.
Everybody is invited to upload and post his gaming videos in our video section. All added videos will be listed on the overview page where you are also able to filter it to particular class videos or search for specific titles.
We hope the community will give it a try and take it as an option to create one big TF2 video portal. Feel free to start uploading and spread the word!
How-To: Upload a video
Currently you will have to register an own3D.tv account [Registration Link] first.
Please have in mind this section is at the start, so we are looking forward to bug reports or ideas for new features, especially the latter.
Note: If you are using Firefox with an adblock plugin, you might have trouble watching the videos. If this is the case for you, whitelisting etf2l.org and www.own3d.tv should help.
