OVERALL
European Team Infused [5:1] France Punchline

Tonight, popular teams Germany Crack Clan and France Punchline return to Season 13 to play their Week 1 Premiership match, at 21.15 CEST. This is one of the last Week 1 premiership games, so this is a game you don’t want to miss. With the roster changes in Germany Crack Clan after  mantuN was found cheating by France AnAkIn’s anti-cheat plugin and replacing him with  minimoose, they already won the finals of the cp_process one night cup a couple of days ago against Premiership newcomer France Nitrose. It looks like Germany Crack Clan have a very high chance of performing well this game.

France Punchline, on the other hand, should still feed from their 4th place of last season and a place under the last 8 in the i46 Team Fortress 2 tournament and are expected to be highly motivated for this match. This is definitely going to be a close one.

Germany ipz- of Germany Crack Clan had the following to say about the upcoming match:

Punchline was always one of our favourite teams to play against. They have some players with great skills and stunning team work. Nevertheless, they did not have that “punch” in the past few weeks and seem not to have kept the spirit of last season’s Punchline. Anyway, we’ve done our homework and expect nothing but a win. Let us hope for a very exciting match.

France Punchline’s France Flippy responded with the following:

Crackclan is definitely our best opponent, they are kind guys and they offer an excellent challenge. Even if they seem like a quite new team they already have everything to be one of the top teams at the moment. Anyway, it should be a great match with people loving each other and we hope to show a better performance than last time.

VanillaTV scheduled a cast for this match with Netherlands ThePledge as solo caster and Netherlands Comedian on the stream.

Staff Updates

Congratulations to Germany Panromir! After only one and a half months of trial, he is now deemed worthy of becoming full ETF2L league admin. Just another step to the all-german reign over the European Team Fortress 2 scene…

Latvia Forsak3n has decided to quit the admin staff after a longer period of inactivity and due to a lack of motivation for the admin work. We thank him for the countless hours he invested into the league and wish him all the best for his life and gaming career (see you in prem?).

England Kop is moved to the position of an honorary admin. The former head admin will still remain a member of the staff to overlook things but is fairly inactive at the moment.

The full staff can be seen on our staff page. In the name of all admins, we ask you to please not add admins on steam but to use our IRC channel #etf2l on Quakenet or the support page, if you have a complaint or a question. Your advantage of using IRC to get in touch with an admin is that you will always get to talk to the next free admin.

Season 13: Premiership Interviews #3 Captainhax

Date September 26, 2012

Interview Transcript

Ireland Admirable: Salut mes amis! This is Admirable welcoming you to the third instalment of ETF2L’s Season 13 Interview series where we attempt to extract some insight from the Premier Divisions finest minds.  Today we bring you the Gallic genius of Punchline’s soldier mastermind, Captainhax. Say hello to your fans, Pierre!

France Captainhax: Hi everyone!

A: OK man… I’ve started the interviews so far by asking a fairly mundane question about players’ TF2 fashion choices, but as you are French I know you are already incredibly stylish.  Perhaps you would humour me anyway and tell me which hats and miscellaneous items you are planning to wear in Season 13?

C: Oh! Ah… last season I started to wear the… uhm… you know I have like a Chewbacca helmet and beard that make me look like Chewbacca and I had something like ah… what’s… how can I… you know like ah… glasses and a big nose and a moustache… right now I have this miscellaneous thing.

A: Nice!

C: You see what I mean?

A: Yeah! Yeah I like the theme you are going for there… Chewbacca… can you do a Chewbacca impression? Read the rest of this entry »

OVERVIEW

It’s that time of the year again for ETF2L to step into untested waters and experiment with new or untried maps for our league. Rather we hope to give everyone a chance to test out 3 potentially superbly exciting, unique maps and give us feedback – you can give us feedback in our Idea Box forum. All information regarding this tournament can be found on its hub page.
