1. Season 15

1.1 Division System

All teams will be split in different Divisions according to their skill level, past Season results and stability. Each Division will then be divided into groups of 8. In those groups, every team will play each other over 2 maps.

Three points will be awarded for each map won. No points are given for a loss. In case of a draw a decider round will be played, where 2 points will be given for a win and 1 point for a loss (see general rules 4.1.3 and 4.5.3). League points are awarded purely by winning maps, the number of captures has no effect on league points themselves. Captures only determine which team wins a map.

1.2 Playoffs and Tiebreakers

The Premiership playoffs and tiebreakers will be held after the main Season ends. The schedule can be found on the competition’s hub page.

Premiership playoff matches will be arranged as follows:

  • Quarter Final: #4 vs. #3
  • Semi Final: Winner of the previous match vs. #2 – Consolation final
  • Grand Final: Winner of the previous match vs #1- Grand final

Only teams tied for the #1-4 spots in Premiership or the promotion/relegation spots in their respective division will have to play Tiebreaker matches.

Maps will be chosen by the teams using the Loser’s Pick system [Explanation].

1.3 Map Pool

The map pool consists of 6 maps. Switching maps is not allowed.

Map Pool:

Map Schedule:

  • Week 1: cp_badlands/cp_gullywash_final1
  • Week 2: cp_gullywash_final1/cp_snakewater
  • Week 3: cp_snakewater/cp_granary
  • Week 4: cp_granary/cp_process_rc3
  • Week 5: cp_process_rc3/koth_viaduct_pro
  • Week 6: koth_viaduct_pro/cp_badlands
  • Week 7: cp_badlands/cp_gullywash_final1

1.4 Every team has 2 Wildcards for a Season

Every team can use two wildcards in a Season. [Explanation]

If one team has already wildcarded a match, the other team can also wildcard it if they have a wildcard available. Matches cannot be wildcarded more than once per team.

1.5 No mercs allowed unless your opponent agrees

“Mercs” or “ringers” are players that are not on the roster of your team. Teams may not use a merc at any time of a match unless their opponent has agreed to it. If a team does not have enough players for a scheduled match and want to use a merc, they must contact the opponent in time. If the opponent agrees, make sure a log of the agreement is taken and provided in the match comments. All mercs have to be registered on ETF2L. Teams caught using an unregistered merc, or a merc without their opponent’s permission, will receive a default loss and a warning.

A team can use up to a maximum of 2 mercs, even if the opponent would allow the use of more than 2 mercs. This includes players who are still shown as unverified on the team’s roster.

1.6 Teams with more than 2 Default Losses or 2 noshows in a row will be expelled from the Season

If a team receives a third Default Loss or is not showing up for a match twice in a row, it will be expelled from the league for the running season.

1.7 Dropped teams results will be removed

Results of a dropped team will be ignored on the tables, if they have not finished the season.

1.8 Teams are not allowed to use new players from week 7 and onward

Teams may not add new players to their roster during week 7 and following playoffs. Teams may use new players in that time, however only if their opponent agrees and if they do not break the maximum merc limit.

1.9 Late matches are not allowed

Every match has to be played and submitted within its week’s deadline. If the results are not submitted by Sunday, 24:00 CEST (one day after the match deadline), a minor warning will be applied. This warning will not be removed, even if the match has been played. Using a wildcard extends the results deadline for a match by two weeks.

1.10 Premiership only rules

These rules under 1.10 are for Premiership teams only:

1.10.1 SourceTV demos for Premiership matches are mandatory

For every match in the Premiership division it is mandatory to upload STV demos for all maps played. The responsibility to upload the demos is on the team that owns the server or, if the server is owned by neither team, on the team that arranged the server.

In case of a technical failure of the server, if it can be proven, the demo does not have to be uploaded.

Failure to upload the demo within 72 hours is punished with a minor warning for the responsible team. The warning can be removed, if the demo is provided before the end of the Season.

1.10.2 Premiership players must use their real nicknames

All players who play a match in the Premiership division must submit their nicknames to the admin staff before they are eligible to play. Players may only play with their “official” nickname. Team tags and sponsorship additions are allowed. If a team uses a player who did not submit his nickname or uses a different nickname the team gets a minor warning per player. This rule may be enforced even without explicit reports from the opposing team.
Submitting nicknames is possible via IRC or eMail.

1.10.3 Stricter late warnings
Supplements rule 1.9
Late matches in Premiership result in major warnings for both teams.

1.10.4 Matches must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance

Teams must set or change the scheduled date for their match at least 24 hours in advance. Setting a scheduled date less than 24 hours in advance or rescheduling with less than 24 hours left before the match date will result in a minor warning for both teams.

1.10.5 Results must be submitted within 24 hours of the scheduled date
Any Premiership match without a submitted result 24 hours after its scheduled date or the week’s deadline(whichever comes sooner) will be considered a late match.

1.11 Prizes

The top 3 teams of the Premiership Division receive money prizes. The distribution is as follows:

Any costs incurred for the transfer of the prize money (e.g. transaction fees or PayPal fees) have to be defrayed by the recipients.
