Hi.
Last summer my video card died, I kept getting broken textures in team fortress 2 and other games more and more often. I decide to resurrect it by cooking it in the oven.
This worked pretty good and got stable 200 fps again.
But since today it really did die.
I can’t launch my pc anymore and it gives me these three error beeps.
Long short short short.
I found out it means basically my entire video card is dead so i’m looking for a new one.
TL;DR : Looking for new good video card to run tf2 at 120> fps and render videos, Nvidia prefered.
Price range: 100-180 euro.
Thanks in advance.
recently got myself an nvidia 570, get about 600 fps in tf2 most of the time, sometimes it drops to 200 :(
(also i7 920)
I’d say wait until April if you can, before buying a card, since the new Nvidia Kepler cards are due to release around then.. and that will either let you buy a new more powerful card or the cards that are available today will be cheaper. That’s what I plan to do.

I can’t wait till April, i gotta play all officials still and i can’t even boot my normal pc.
Only two options if i don’t buy new video card: Cook in oven again, or play on my laptop.
I’m not gonna cook it in the oven again since it will be just extending the execution, and playing on my laptop isn’t as good as on my main pc.
Thanks for the advice about the new video card though, will take a look at them.

Could you order from the UK it would still work out cheaper even with postage i reckon.
If you’re going to buy 6870 don’t buy the Sapphire one (this http://www.modders-inc.com/modules/NDReviews/images2/Sapphire-6870-Vapor/HD-6870.jpg ). It’s unbelievably noisy and getting the dust out is a pain in the ass.

it might be a little bit noisy if you’re playing bf3 not tf2.
