anything over 70 C is not recommended by intel (lowers life of cpu)

Daaamn, I built this pc over 2 years ago, would it have been able to survive this long with an improperly mounted cooler? D:

Or could it be that the thermal paste wore out over time?

The room insulation & pc area are fine as far as i can tell.

Did you transport your case at all? LAN? Could have moved during that.
If it was never mounted properly (but still to a functional extent) it’s not impossible that it moved because of heating/cooling. Very unlikely though.

Yeah I’ve taken it to 2 LANs.

Well I guess I’ma buy some thermal gel tomorrow and clean this motherfucker anyway, thanks for the help everyone.
