Still better to find out if her laptops has viruses. If thats the case, putting in place QoS is like trying to empty water from a boat with a bucket. You might be able to stop the boat sinking but it’d be easier to just fix the leak.
Sorry for bumping an old thread but the last few days, (up to a week or so) I’ve had choke issues from time to time. It’s happened every evening but not all evening, I think it’s to do with housemates but I thought I’d ask the collective community if they had any ideas.
Choke goes up to 40 at frequent spikes with no obvious recurring time gap between them. Is there any way to fix it or any way to implement QoS without buying a new router (bought a WRT54GL and it broke in less than a week).
check ur rates
i think choke is made by bad rates/server
different with loss tho, thats ur net
basically it means you are unable to send data to the server (at the set rate) which means you can warp around like a boss on your screen. :D it is most likely to be someone on youtube :p it does the same to me
