But isnt it really hard to do anything with low fps? :/

It is. You either have to get used to it or buy a new pc.

tf2 is very cpu centric but a integrated graphics card is gonna be the bottleneck anyway

difficult to differentiate the bottleneck between the cpu and the gpu when neither of them is enough to run tf2

i got about same cpu on my laptop, runs tf2 at about 100fps on 6’s

Same here, still can’t get 100 fps in fights.

i dont get 100 in midfights either, but otherwise its capped at 121 or drops to around 100 when say pushing last and such

i5 430m, w7 64, chris maxframes, tf2 started with -high

i5 430M instead of i3 330M explains a lot.

You have a better proceessorr and better graphics card than me…also any comments on:
1. swiftshader?
2. I think some of my lag may be due to errors constantly being logged to the consol and texture constantly being searched before…any comments?

when I get home I will remove my custom hud and the flat textures I have to see if it makes a difference I have a feeling removing the console error problem will get my fps back up it wasnt like this about a month before but I did things like custom huds and flat texture but didnt realize it was that….used to be aable to run it at dxlevel 81 highframes instead of maxframes at 30-40 think I know what happened….but anyway swiftshader any good? and how to use process lasso best possible settings to set on hl2.exe

Everyone gets the errors in console.
Custom huds can increase fps, depending on the hud.
Just get the nohats and maxframes and run tf2 at 640×480
Also last I heard swiftshader might get you vacbanned. I wouldn’t risk it. Not confirmed though.

Kinda off-topic, but since we’re discussing TF2 and FPS:

I get these really small freezes randomly in TF2 and other source games like CS:GO. I’ve got a new computer. Didn’t have the problem with my old computer.

I didn’t bother to read, but have you tried this?

It’s under system on control panel.

That 330m or what ever isn’t even close to a decent i3.

You just need a new PC.

Try defragging the HDD.

Also I think the -high command in console screws up your mouse, if the mouse has a driver.
