Hello.

Few weeks ago I noticed that there was something wrong with my fps & everyday I notice it getting lower and lower. Right now I can’t get stable 121 fps even on empty server.
I re-installed windows several times since the time I had noticed it. (tride both 7 & xp).
Also it is not overheating because nothing reaches more than 60 degrees.

And I noticed that everytime I ran tf2, it had the lowest priority automatically.

I play with chris’ maxframes config & my launch settings of TF2 are:
-dxlevel 80 -full -w 1920 -h 1080 -console -novid -useforcedmparms -noforcemaccel -noforcemspd

Computer Setup:
E8400 @ 3.0ghz (no oc)
2gb ram
gts250
945gcm-s mobo
450w psu

* It is not overheating.
* It is not virus-problem.
* There is nothing what takes much % of my cpu or ram.

those launch options aint from chris cfg so i doubt ur actually using chris cfg

also on such cpu u should be fine using “-high”

also, im curious to can that budget vga actually run anything @ 120fps on fullhd res

what i would do to just check if components are fine, is get aida64 and log every component and its clocks to check if any of em drops during gaming or in fact, if they even are running at default speed

with -high i get sound & mouse freezes on the moments when my fps should be lower 100

simply ask catman to buy new PC for you :)

Have exactly the same problem though i run the game without a config and have almost everything at max. I used to be able to run with everything on max but on the last month i had to put a few things on medium, shadows low, AA on 2x, and a few other things and i still get some 30-40-50 fps on 32 people servers or even 24 people servers sometimes. On competitive am not having much trouble though.

But deffo, lately there has been a lot of FPS problems with E8400. Might have to overclock mine to 3.5Ghz
