demos are not working

so i recorded a couple demos from lobby match and i wonder i will check them out, but when i launch it i got error saying: Setup file ‘gameinfo.txt’ doesn’t exist in subdirectory ‘hl2’. Check your -game parameter or VCONFIG setting.

I think you’ve tried to open the demo files directly. That doesn’t work.

You have to go into TF2, type demoui2 into console and load the demo that way. The demo also has to be stored in your tf folder.
