lolworthy rubbish
The Netherlands have had a ‘soft’ stance on drugs for many years and have the 16th best economy in the world, (according to wiki), so to say what you are is utter BS. Alcohol is legal yet there are plenty of people who are tea-total or drink very rarely. The same can be said of most drugs.
I’ve smoked since high school, have a good bunch of close-knit freinds, a devoted girl friend of 15 years who doesn’t smoke and a good professional job which I’m damn good at. I still like to wind down of an evening with a herbal cigarette. My life is fine, others I know similar to me have a fine life.
I also have a close friend who was heavily into drugs and alcohol who ended up trying to take his own life, so I’ve seen both sides of the story, his doctors told him he had to stop with the drinking but to carry on with the weed smoking as without it he couldn’t sleep and they thought sleeping tablets were in no way a better solution, they effectively told him to carry on getting stoned.
People who allow drugs to become the only thing in their lives that matters would have found something else to obsess over, be it alcohol, gambling, sex or whatever. Some people just have addictive personalities.
So because the doctors told him to keep getting stoned because otherwise he’d suffer withdrawal effects and other nasty side-effects, you think it’s ok.
Quoted from Skyride
Although I wouldn’t take any myself, I actually don’t have an issue with drugs, particularly weed. But don’t delude yourself for one second there are no long term health effects.
Less than alcohol and tabacco – Not to mention plus sides of the drug.

I don’t think you understood the point he was making in his post.
I wasn’t talking only about cannabis though. Sure, it makes people more peaceful, but other drugs don’t. Obviously, cannabis has better effects on a person than, say, alcohol, but I can’t imagine a person on PCP, coke, heroin, being peaceful.

In an ideal world for me, those would be banned too. Unfortunately that’s not going to happen – the government makes so much money from it.
do not forget sugar cause it makes people fat which is obviously unhealty and therefore it should be banned.
On topic ask yourself if from tommorow crack was legal would you go and buy it? I think not or at least i would not. Same goes for most of people i know and for junkies i say let them drug themselves to death i do not care its theirs choice.

Education must suck where you live if you think Cannabis has withdrawal effects. Cannabis is one of the few substances which can be used for long periods of time without any withdrawal effects if you quit after a long period.
Infact, most long time stoners will take what is known as a “tolerance break”.
The only medically proven harmfull side effect of cannabis is in relation to people who have either exsisting problems with schizophrenia or people who have a high chance to become schizophrenic. Other than that, we can’t medically prove cannabis does anything harmfull (lung problems associated with cannabis are infact not a result of cannabis itself, but an effect of inhaling heated plant matter. Cannabis smoke does not cause cancer (there is not a single case in medical documented history of brown lung syndrom being found on a person who has only smoked cannabis (no tobacco) and the lung problems can be avoided by either eating, drinking or vaporizing cannabis).
Outside of that it’s physically impossible to overdose on cannabis (it’s somewhere in the range of 60.000 columbian strenght joints within an hour before you have consumed a concentration anywhere near fatal.) And the only research paper that claimed cannabis killed braincells was disproven because of the research methods used (monkey’s breathing in pure cannabis smoke for minutes on end causing the brain to shut down due to lack of oxygen and thus resulting in dead braincells).

I’de like to see someone on heroin move first of all.
Coke, I’ve never seen anyone pissed off their nut on coke, although through it’s nature I’m sure it’s more possible than on a tad bit of weed. Non the less anyone who is going to do coke is going to do coke, it’s that dammed expensive you have to really want it to take it, and if it was regulated I’m sure the government would keep it that way. So illegal or legal it really doesnt matter.
last but not least if you do PCP your a fucking retard.
Over and out

in agreement
Still waiting for you to reply to my post.
Also still waiting for you to actually play competitive tf2 and therefore have an actual reason to be on these forums.
Gotta go now, will reply to quite amusing retorts to my last post after I get back. I remember all these types of arguments from back when I was discussing this kind of stuff in high school. Wabby, if you really are such a totalitarianist, what are you doing playing TF2? You’re worsening your health-condition by sitting on your chair. Go play a real sport and take care of your body.

Like a lack of health issues justifies legalizing cannabis…
Why doesn’t it? If a substance is proven to have little to no risks health wise, why is it illegal to consume that substance?

Even if it does harm you, why is it illegal – let people do what the hell they want to do with their own bodies. It’s criminalising people for the sake of it
tbh, I would prefer cigarettes and maybe alcohol to be banned over weed, as they have higher health risks.
The argument normal goes that getting rid of the law against weed stops things like the black market, but it wouldn’t the stronger weed would still be on sale illegally, and that is what all the teenagers would go after, at least in Britain, as people here are idiots and don’t understand self-control (I am aware I am included in this due to the vast amount of games I play).
Also strong weed can cause problems, for example by cousin now has severe paranoia due to a sustained period of smoking very strong weed, so there will still be problems, but I would prefer it to cigarettes and drink.

Two reasons, harms other (potentially, although not really, although ppl are dumb in Britain, so maybe)
Should you let people kill themselves? Allow them to drink bleach, instead of trying to prevent them? Shall we get rid of education, as people always make the best decisions, and the age limit on cigarettes/drink/sex?
