full lobbys/pickups whit ppls just nowon have team!
Well I don’t know about you but I came across this place after watching coming across CommFT, eXtine and his top10 plays of the month.
I don’t think bringing people from pubs with hats is the answer. I think more big names livestreaming tf2 gameplay would always be better. More talking to competitive players from other games. Of course, with 10 hours on the game I don’t yet see the hype about hats…

There are plenty people interested in playing competitively, the problem is they don’t know where to start.
mfw. There’s like 10 pages that offer a quickstart guide to comp tf2.
imo you don’t bait players into playing competitively. They will come by themselves if they are interested.

does anyone have any evidence to suggest that the 6v9 and highlander cups have actually worked in bringing new players to 6v6? Im honestly curious at the numbers if its had a significant impact upon sign ups etc
I started competitive for that very reason, was playing in the pub team in one of the 6v9 cups :D

Spam Effect have reached div1 by doing a bad strategy extremely well. A bad strategy done well will beat a good strategy done badly.
If by bad strategy you mean running a heavy (I’m not sure if I understood you correctly) I must – to my horror, mind you – point out that you’re wrong. Sfx have come so far they have because they play a fucking disciplined game and punish you alot of your mistakes. Granted they have probably perfected that bloody heavy more than anyone atm, I’d say they play quite quite well without one too.

I think we’ve proven by now that we’re not a team relying on a “bad heavy strategy” to win against good teams :p
We never use it in vanilla.
