YOU BROKE REDDIT!
I was born in Sweden, yet have an Irish passport by virtue of both my parents being from Dublin. Subsequently I lived in several other countries, including New Zealand for seven years. All this time I held an Irish passport despite never having lived there.
When I finally moved to Ireland aged 13, I did not know how to classify myself beyond being a native English speaker with some bizarre Kiwi/North American accent.
At this stage, having lived here for 9 years between Cork and Dublin, I don’t suppose my accent has become any more definable, but I can begrudgingly concede that I am probably, technically, Irish.
