I’ve been waiting 10 minutes for a 3 minute video to load due to shit internet I have. To compare, has anyone else had worse loading times?
I get some horrid, horrid loading times, I’m with VM, and I use a wireless connection, my missus sometimes watches YouTube but doesn’t download anything.
I think it’s just the state of the UK’s shit internet tbh, sometimes even if I watch a YouTube video it will lag tf2 for my gf downstairs and vice versa.
Even if I lower the quality to 420 or 320p it’s still slow.
Having said that I believe it’s just throttling at peak times, normally if I download something at this time I will struggle to reach 500kb/s, but in the morning I downloaded Brink at 1-2 MB/s even getting 3-4 at points.

Are you in a rural area? Because that’s kinda shit, what are you meant to be getting exactly?
What I used to do at my parents place is keep on ringing the ISP (VM again), I managed to get a new router and they gave us the 20MB package for no extra cost, just because I wouldn’t stop pestering them about it.
Back then I’d sometimes get a measly 20kb/s a second sometimes, so it might be because it was an extreme case, we threatened to leave and they upgraded our package.
Some ISP’s really want to avoid losing customers, back when AOL where popular it was quite renowned about the process AOL would go through to put you off, you might have heard of Vincent Cable: http://youtu.be/xmpDSBAh6RY
My dad went through a similar experience where they then offered him 6 months free because he wanted to move to NTL’s 250kb/s cable :D
