hiiiiiiiiii

basically I tried to record a clip that i got the other day coz it woz super awsum, but, when I recorded it in PLDX and compressed it with lagarith etc then saved it as .avi. All was well up to this point but I went to play the file back and it showed one file then the frame got stuck whilst the rest of the video played in the background with sound etc.

Any ideas/reasons as to why this happened/how to fix?

You’re saying you tried to play the AVI file that you encoded to lagarith in Virtualdub? If so, that’s not a problem. If you’ve recorded in more than 60fps, your hard drive isn’t actually fast enough to read the data in time to render the frame. Different media players fuck up in different ways when this happens. And even when it can read, the bitrate is so insanely high it takes a pretty good CPU to even play it. When you use RAM Preview in AE/Vegas, all will be fine.
