The blonde one? You mean the ginger one? She’s was announced as 13 in show when the Queen asked her. Her IMDB page says she just turned 15 a couple months ago.

Oops then :)

She’s 13?… (and annoying)

Also show is great but also means I can look forward to the American Gods adaption by HBO without worrying too much.

Haven’t read the book (although have wanted to) but as far as fantasy goes, haven’t found a book I love more than The Name of the Wind/The Wise Man’s Fear by Patrick Rothfuss.

Oooh I’ve read them too :D Beautifully written series, nice break from all the “brutal” fantasies like A song of Ice and fire etc.

But I strongly recommend reading Martin’s series, and by the time you’ve ravaged the books, the new one will be out, and you’ll burst with the joy of it :)

On a side note, I thought a wise man’s fear kind of dragged on a little, and if it weren’t so well written I would have quickly grown bored. Kind of got the feeling that this instalment was a filler of sorts. Well it’s certainly got me excited for the next one anyways.

I really do hope they do manage to make all the novels into TV, as the standard so far has been great, and I really can’t wait to see some of the character’s story lines develop on screen

For me, the story is a bit too depressing. It’s like the author just threw in a bunch of unrealistic twists to make it as depressing as possible.

Is it just me, or is Westeros an anglicized version of Västerås?

Remember that the book is much larger and explains certain things better then the series. Just imagine when the series moves on to covering books of 700 pages in 10 episodes :p

Never, ever stop reading! Not enough of you younglings these days enjoy a good book! Tsk, the youth of today…

Pyle

With the current amount of information offered we need a faster input method. Allthough I love reading books, it just takes so much time to read it all…

I read on a daily base, 20 pages a day. Current book I’m reading is “I was born on a blue day” which got 256 pages. Assuming I will keep up to my average it will take me 256/20= 12,8 days = ca. 28,50 books a year. ( and not to forget most books I read got 300+ pages ).

Now,

In the US ( most books I read are in English ) they released 288.355 books in 2009.
Lets devide this number by 4 because not all books are good and the number includes new releases of previously released books, so that leaves us with 288.355/4 = 72.088,75 books.

72.088,75/my 28,5 books a year = 2.529,43 years to read.

How Am I to keep up with all this ?

Sorry for this bullshit, bored @ work.. well time for lunch now.
