But your budget is pretty high for portable headphones you should search for other brands :)

My heaphone signal path goes like this: E-MU 1616M with 24/192 capability (yeah mine can go up into even higher unhearable frequencies xD) A/D’d by a CS4398 (found in Bryston CD players and Apogee studio interfaces) fed into an MF X-Can V8 ss/valve hybrid headphone amplifier which is way overkill for my low impedance Grados.
So not really jelly, no ;)

Grados like valves and I was preparing for a future purchase of an HD650 (which I still haven’t got :X)
(and the grado+amp was a combo deal with massive discount)
