IME 3.0
not much into mouse4/5, only when i play medic, which is like once or twice a week. Meh.
Right it looks like the MS Wheelmouse Optical is the right choice. Still open for offers tho.
apparently wmo is pretty uncomfortable and difficult to get used to, whereas the ime is better fitted to your hand

Heard some bad things bout the ime mouse4/5 buttons, and i`ve used mice of all shapes and sizes, ill prolly get used to its shape in about a week or so.
If you like WMO’s shape then buy it. Perfect tracking once you overclock the usb port at 500 Hz. The only bad thing is that the wheel is terrible. It’s way too loose so you can’t use it for changing weapons or anything important like that. And yeah it doesn’t have side buttons.
Another mouse that has similar shape to WMO is Razer Abussys. I’ve it and like the shape but I can’t use it because it jitters too much on my cloth pad. It’s a little bit smaller than WMO iirc.
Well I haven’t really used the MWO, but im going for a simple shaped mouse and its cheap, durable and with a good sensor. I dont really use the mwheel ingame, so that does not bother me. Anything is better then the shit mouse im using atm, this thing even has prediction. fml.
Tried the lines test too.. it indeed gives a huge difference.

lol
Everyone should also try to make circle shapes. With prediction/precision enabled you get more square shapes. If you make really loose circular shapes with your mouse it should look something like this: http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/8140/27845793.png

i use setpoint on mx518 and my aim is awesome!?!?!?!
I am also installing setpoint now…
I can remember that i played css with some sort of prediction. That really feals like a half aimbot. Because your crosshair is simply locked on head level. The only thing you have to do is move your mouse a bit to the left or right and click and you get a headshot.
When I broke my Logitech G1 in a ragey moment, I replaced it with my parents’ old WMO 1.1a. After upping the refresh rate to 1000Hz I discovered the wonders of a non-prediction mouse and how good this budget mousey thing actually is! Sadly though, the wheel really is shit. It often registers 2 “scrolls” instead of 1, or scrolls back when you’ve just scrolled the other way. Also, if you drop the mouse a little too hard (after lifting), the mouse wheel will click. I’m not sure if this is common with these models, or just because mine has been used and worn for quite a while.
I just ordered a new Intellimouse Optical 1.1 which is basically the same but with thumb buttons. All the other mice out there have their own problems, which are more tracking or prediction related, which is a way bigger problem imo. There is no perfect mouse, but I can live with a shitty wheel.
A letter from Zowie’s chief marketing officer regarding mouse prediction on the EC series:

Zowie EC1/2 are indeed the perfect mice.
