then whats the point of using 4gb of ram memory ? if a 32bit system only detects 3.1 (or something like that)
so basicly u need a 5000 euro pc to run tf2 on 100 fps with no drops -_-‘
not really 5000 euro, but you do need core i3/i5/i7 system if you want cheap and good fps with stock cpu, amds cant get there with stock clock’s
you dont seem to understand how bad xp 64bit is to a gaming system, its not made for home use, but more like high tech office use for apps that require >4gb ram
plus 3.2gb on xp will feel exactly the same as 4gb on w7 since w7 by itself uses at least 400-500mb of ram just on idle (using reasonable graphic settings, aero and stuff), while xp needs like 150 or so if u go to classic/performance setup

TF2 is perfectly playable with fps above 30~40. If you get 100 and sometimes drop to 50, I really don’t get how that is a problem :/

Are you really an idiot?
I assume you’ve actually tested the full Phenom II range? or even the Athlon II range?
Which CPU’s there are not capable of playing TF2?????
on topic, what spike says, if your FPS drops to 50, set it to max 51, and you’ll be fine

You’re supposed to have a minimum of 66 if you want TF2 to be able to send 66 packets/s as one packet is sent per frame.
What the fuck is up with people getting terrible FPS these days? I get like 200fps+ all the time (it hits 300-400 sometimes) and my PC isn’t that amazing:
i5 3GHz
8GB RAM
Radeon 4850
Honestly, the only thing relevant there is the GFX, the CPU and the shit running the background. I’m on Vista 64bit and have literally nothing running in the background. Seriously, don’t install crap on your PC. Even people who say their PC’s are clean seem to have tons of crap.

Yep, in theory. In practice you won’t notice the difference :)
