CCCOOOOOMMMMMMEEE OOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNN
Just found a post on the bioware forums saying the demo will be out at 9am pst, so thats gmt-8. We will see the demo at 5pm gmt!
same for Shogun : Total War 2
:D
PC demo up. Grab it while it’s hot.
THIS JUST IN – It is awesome, the only problem I am finding is the annoying loading that pops up. Just played the 360 version and its nowhere near as bad.

is the “loading” still as bad as in DA:O? That’s the only thing i really hated about it, the fact that between every level it would load for more than a minute >_<
To the ones who've played it already (mine's currently @40 mins remaining): is it looking good?

Its not the loading screens, between quite a lot of scenes and sometimes mid scene it will freeze and load for about a second. It becomes quite offputting!

I didn’t experience anything like this. The whole demo ran very smooth for me (except it crashed once or twice ¬¬)
It seems okay I guess. Huge chunks of the game are locked out in the demo and for some obscure reason I picked warrior as my class for the full run which was immensly boring compared to the little bit I played as rogue (I played DA:O as both mage and rogue so I can’t really compare how warrior felt before, unless you count the occasionnally pushing a button to make Alistair do his thang micro I did in DA:O).
Conversation flows a lot better but IMO feels more limited than before but the character expressions aren’t as janky as they were so it’s more entertaining. Combat is a LOT quicker plus I just recently finished DA:O Awakening so I was still in that slow and steady mode, however, it still felt quite okay and more satisfying (at least as rouge). Enviroments in the demo were bland as fuck and I sincerely hope that they get better.
My jaw hit the floor when I got to the point with Flemeth. Jesus fucking christ what a makeover. Also boobs.

sounds fun :D
also, quoting:
In 50 minutes, Mike Laidlaw will be showing some new footage of Dragon Age 2!! http://bit.ly/hq02hL
(which is *now*)
fyi, the dev’s have already stated that the directx 11 mode in the demo is horribly bugged (hence 20fps) and is fixed in the full game
Finally finished it after having downloaded the GERMAN version first (fml).
Points I noticed:
– Combat is WAY faster (I lol’d at that Isabela jumping at an enemy over a distance of like 2m)
– Dem Hurlocks are pretty much cannon fodder
– WTF Flemeth? Did she not look like… well, an old woman just a few hours before, when the party of DA:O including the Warden, Alistair etc left her? (Also boobs.)
– Why does my female mage walk so provocatively? Swinging that butt like there’s no tomorrow?
– The skill trees make for some interesting combinations I think, sadly most stuff (including the inventory) was locked :(
– The flame effect of explosions reminded me of ME2 Mechs exploding as well :D
edit: and the most important thing of all:
– Loading times have been extremely shortened – no more “waiting 1 min before every level”
– I quite like the new style of character animation, environments could use some detailing though.
Greatly looking forward to it, gonna be awesome
