Want to buy a Razer Goliathus Speed, is there any difference between this http://www.amazon.co.uk/RAZER-GOLIATHUS-SPEED-MOUSE-PAD/dp/B001BJAD06/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&s=officeproduct&qid=1296919427&sr=8-8
and this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Razer-RZ02-00210800-R3M1-Goliathus-Standard-Fragged/dp/B002R0DX0K/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=miscellaneous&qid=1296919427&sr=8-2
?
Also, what should I use to clean it? I heard alcohol wipes don’t work well.
Cheers m’dears.
One more thing, I want a new mouse and was going to go for the IME 3.0 but have found a lot of reviews saying the scroll wheel is bad, which wouldn’t really work for me. What’s the best mouse around with a good sensor, no prediction and a nice scroll wheel?

there is no difference , there is no need to clean it ( excepted if you eat on it )
This is a nice mouse pad: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Roccat-Sense-Glacier-Blue-Mousepad/dp/B0012M9EGQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1296929878&sr=1-1
And this is a nice mouse: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Microsoft-Intellimouse-Optical-PS2-USB/dp/B000ECXVOG/ref=sr_1_15?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1296930099&sr=1-15

Probably no difference, but occasionally patterned ones have caused tracking issues in the past for me, different mice to the 3G mind.
As for washing it, put it underwater and rub the crap off of it. Then let it dry for a day.

A whole day? :(

Deathadder 3G fits your requirements
I can’t find a single website in Europe that sells it!
I use my puretrak talent wet (as in when i washed it, not always ofc), doesn’t even matter.

I have found to keep my Talent in good condition I make a paper towel damp (not wet) and rub moderately hard on the surface, which brings out the dirt. After that it works like new.
edit: KOOTCHY. GET OUT.

Just get the 3.5G black edition ;)
I found this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000MF67VO/ref=ord_cart_shr?ie=UTF8&m=A2GGAPV0F9N2K7
and I can use free shipping with it.
Buy/don’t buy?
I’ll probably go ahead and buy it. Cheers again for all the help guys, muy apreciado! :)
aha, one final question: If I have accel off in the deathadder driver settings, is it fully off or do I need to do the reg fix?

Been using a deathadder on a goliathus for over a year now. Works like a dream at the start, feels so clean. However soon the goliathus’ cloth starts to wear at the deathadder’s pads and they wear out very quickly. This is especially noticeable since i play tf2 with a sens of around 1m/360deg, and after about 30mins of playtime there’s an alarming amount of powdered teflon on my pad/around the bottom on my mouse. My pads lasted a few months before completely wearing out and I had to replace them. Overall decent setup, but I just ordered a QcK+ to test out other pads

Your issue is not caused by the mousemat it’s the soft teflon mouse feet that Razer use throughout their range of mice. Softer teflon makes for a better glide but it’s a marginal difference. I suggest you just replace the mouse-feet with more durable harder teflon feet.
Hmm now that I read back I wasn’t very clear…
I meant to compare the goliathus to non-cloth pads, and that I was buying a QcK+ to test out the feel of another pad (especially a thinner one). However I didn’t know that there were harder teflon feet available for mice. Which ones would you recommend? I’m currently using corepad replacements.
