tf2 yeahhh!
Quoted from octochris
saw advert twice today, looks fucking terrible
the media’s outlook on video games is always OMG THEY’RE RUINING OUR CHILDREN when in reality it is the parent’s job to police the child’s time playing video games, and to do shit like shoot someone after playing css would mean you had to be a psycho to begin with.
the media view on video games is that its a competitor. and therefore they just want to slag it off in the hope that it goes away :D
lolol
“we don’t want to panic anyone but…. we put it on panorama”
Cringeworthy.
Quoted from Atkins
wasnt worth it
Turned it off the second time that WoW guy with the massive nose came on
It was basically ‘World of Warcraft is addictive!……oh and these are some other games that you can play.’ Saw some TF2 so yey :D

not in sweden :P
Fucking wow that was terrible. Really didn’t think it was going to be that bad.
tl;dr : Video games are addictive, we’ll prove it by showing you some massive WoW Nerds and pointing out that gaming is really popular in Korea, then go ask some “experts” about addiction techniques (that btw we won’t mention only really exist in crap like farmville and other casual games) while totally avoiding the fact that its far better than watching TV.
The best bit was when they showed about how a Korean couple let their child die of malnutrition because they were so addicted. Was sitting watching this with my mum (who is an actual social worker, of the “we’re going to take your children away variety”) and she just laughed at the suggestion it was due to gaming. Right enough, when they speak to the psychiatrist, first thing she says is “well these people were already mentally unstable”.
So producers, competition is now addiction? Just because someone is skilled at something, and competes at a competition, doesn’t mean that they are addicted. TBH this is an extension of the whole e-sports is no real sports debate – if someone sits down and plays 8 hours of chess, then they aren’t addicted. No….they are skilled o_O
EDIT: wanted to rant a bit more: Korea has gaming addiction. Korea has LANs. The UK have LANs. Therefore the UK has gaming addiction.
The Americans are Obese. THe Americans Driver cars. The UK drives cars. Therefore the British are Obese.
O’RLY?
