decided to use premiere pro CS4 when making this “movie”. What bothers me is that i cant watch the video without big lags (because the avi files are too big?) in the program, making it really hard to edit shiet!
Morf told me he had something so it was possible to play the clips with after effects without lag, is there something similar in premiere?
ram preview i guess, but don’t know what is the hotkey in adobe premiere
maybe enter

kk, I am getting close to the end, but I have run into a little issue. I am tring out some colour correction and the best I got so far is from this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=raJwPDXSsrQ, but i am not entierly happy with it as it looks over saturated and takes away from the very cool style of TF2, so I was wondering if anyone knows any other good tutorials or settings that I could try as my attemps look like someone has thorwn up over the game.
use your eyes and create your own cc?
if you want a very noobish thing, look for magic bullet looks, i guess that’s its name
magic bullet is awesome and good luck with your project

Play around with some stuff yourself, you don’t need tutorials at all. If you use a tutorial, then you’ll have the same colors as someone else which generally isn’t very good. Originality is key to a good movie. Oh and magic bullet looks isn’t entirely noobish. There are a few things such as the anamorphic flare feature which you can’t get in vegas alone, aswell as a few other handy features. It comes with some nice presets too, but I recommend editing them a bit before using them in a vid.
In summary, use originality. Spend some time creating different color setups and decide which one you think fits the theme of your vid the best.
Oh and good luck with your movie, mate!
Yep have to agree with Blorg.
Play around with some different colour correction, export each test and upload it to youtube (you’d be surprised how much difference there is between the file and youtubes stream).
Of course everyone has their own opinion of colour correction but what I used for my movie: http://pldx.com/movie/1314/Against_All_Odds/ was pretty subtle. Changing a few different settings in colour correction but just slightly, which in my opinion looks good and doesn’t ruin TF2’s unique art style.
Another thing to keep in mind is if you are using custom skyboxes then using the same Colour correction settings on 2 different clips (of different maps e.g. badlands and granary) might not get the desired result. I used variations of my colour correction on each clip depending on what map it was, and if the clip was indoors or not.
tl:dr: play around with the settings until you are completely happy with how it looks :)

Quicky I need an STV on a scout cratering to his death by forgetting to double jump, also is it better to render by Frag vid at 60 fps or 30 (presuming 60). As you can tell I am a little stressed as it is due in on Fri and I got a lot to do on it.
