I meant it was one of the worst parts of granary (comparatively to other maps), not of obscure :x.

The red line across is the old sniper sight line from one corner to the other. This isn’t possible anymore, so in that regard is a sniper nerf. Moving the boxes now allows for the green sightline, but the vision there is a bit narrow.

That’s not the main idea behind that change anyway, although I like that effect. If you see the blue lines, they show the “paths” on the bridge. The old position of the boxes didn’t really integrate that path up those 2 smaller bridges into the flow of the map. The boxes with the decreased length of mid were just in the way where they previously were.

The path up from below kind of merges there as well, creating a rather high traffic area which I painted blue.

In the end the effects on actual gameplay aren’t _that_ large to be honest, but it should flow a little nicer.

Hands down, the original Obscure is WAY better than this.
The map is fucking huge with WAY too many open areas,
the textures look too generic,
a shitload of places left in the map to get stuck on,
and it’s just no fun. At least for me.

Where’s the petition to let the original Obscure back in the mappool?

I do miss the snow theme. As far as places to get stuck on, the map is in beta you know?

Playing last night and died as we were capping mid. My spawn time went from 12-3 seconds and back to 12 as soon as we capped.

Bug or….?

Also joined one server and the spire and most of the rocks were invisible too, which some would consider cheating…

That with the spawn time will be fixed for the next version.

About the rocks being fucked up, I think leftism told me of that. Basically, someone messed up the upload to the server, :)

It’s stupidly hard to push from 1st to 2nd. Quite frustrating really. Have been playing it with my team and we aren’t liking it much, and from what we are hearing from others teams they aren’t liking it either.

How is that helpful? Could of easily said the spawn timer for attackers to respawn is too short. Which would easily address the recapping of cp2? Instead of your moan above along with negativity.

Also to be more positive and helpful, could you provide the src tv of your games on this map so i can see for myself if it’s your team failing or if it’s the map that needs tweaking with spawn timers for attackers.

Played the map twice last night and managed to go 1st to 2nd a few times…no real problem.
