The thing is, if you get wiped quickly on first (defending) then you get pushed back all the way to last most of the time. Hello 2 minute times.

Pretty much this, my silver team can push through the first 3 points of Barnblitz really well, generally 3 minute times but if the team was semi-decent and remembered to not hold a point they’d stupidly lose it would be about 4 minutes.

The map unfortunately needs a last point, just not the last point it currently has.

Yeah that’s fine. I don’t mind a scout triple jumping up there. Least with that you have a chance to react.

If you wanna make it easier then maybe add another route towards the back side of last that can be accessed from the right (as an attacker).

I do feel though people just wanna push in from the front stairs and because that’s hard they feel last is hard. Try hold some where else like lockers.

I think that when you cap 3rd point, BLU should get RED’s 1st spawn, but not 2nd, 2nd would be TOO close to last point and as we know, BLU spawn faster than RED

And btw, you cant enter RED bottom spawn on Last, you can leave it but you cant enter it again

No idea if this has been brought up and feel free to shoot me down, but my only complaint about new-barnblitz is that on last, there is only one viable engie spot now (bottom spawn, right side as your going towards fourth point).

There used to be a mix of people building there or on top, but with the limited metal now on top is not viable (plus you stand no chance of rebuilding if you’re up there and stuff goes down).

From the few games I’ve played, old-top-spawn is rarely used now – the defensive team has no need to hold there, and the offensive team very rarely get there and then can be relatively easily flanked from under + stairs.

Seems like a waste.

• fixed being able to see out of first blu spawn (it was too much work to make the ceiling higher, so instead, taunting there and trying to look out will just show you nothing

• Fixed spawn door on last not being openable by defenders

• Removed lots of none-solid props and some solid ones to decrease the visual clutter and make jumping around a little easier, especially around third point

• Made a pretty consistant rule of shelves not being jumpable on, before, some could be stood on and some couldn’t even while having the exact same prop model (such as these, left could be stood on while right couldn’t)

• removed the invisible wall above this, allowing soldiers to jump over it or camp up on it (you can splash the wall next to it to hit people hiding there in a position where they can’t hit you) – if people deem this bad after testing then the wall will most likely be extended above instead as having an invisible wall there is crappy

• made this window solid to allow people to jump into left house. It’s a tricky-ish jump but every class (heavy with gru and soldier with rocketjumps) can get in there now

I want to use the upper spawn on last this is so sad I do not like this map anymore

the spot up there is still itself good I think

the problem with that area (when the top spawn was up there anyway) was that it was possibly too easy to setup there, and too easy to be immobile as engy (lol) and not get punished for it

I still personally like the spot as it is because it’s still one of the best spots, and I can just build on the floor and take the risk of running up there and pulling my sentry up there using rescue ranger

a lot of engies are identifying this as a problem however, I’m hoping people can adapt and it’s not just me thinking this is a non-issue when it is – but I’ll keep an eye on it as will the map maker himself I’m sure

I liked the last spawn where it was I didn’t see anything bad that came of it
