I haven’t been following the other 8 pages on this retarded thread…
But you thought you’d comment anyway? Yay for ignorance!
I noticed num had joined a team, I clicked on the team and saw they were Div5, I actually lol’d.
That is all.
I am trying to improve my game, I’ll never get to his level. How is that relevant?
It’d be interesting to see how many people thinking this is a stupid thread would allow a division 1 merc to play against them in a league game, especially one as important as a final week promotion/relegation battle. The reason I wouldn’t allow one is the same reason I don’t go searching for division 1/2/3 skill level games in #tf.wars every night. I’m not good at this game, I’m not terrible either but I know I’m not the best and never will be. Having an exceptionally skilled player come and play for my opponents would be a big advantage for them in my division.
Of course we all want to get better, and we know that the best way to get better is to play against better opponents, but that doesn’t mean we want to do that in our league games. If a division 1 player joins a team and -does- carry them (I’m not saying this is the case here, I know og.se are pretty good from first hand experience) then it affects the league, when they leave before the next season they risk leaving a team in a division that they’re not ready for, they may also prevent other more worthy clans from being promoted.
Credit to numlocked for helping a team out, this is much more preferable to defaults / dropped teams and I hope og.se find a full time replacement soon. But to the other people in this thread, don’t act like you wouldn’t be annoyed if you were a low skilled team and this happened in your division.
ESPECIALLY as demo is OP.

Lucky they only got numlocked then lol!
still dont care tbh, my god this is boring. so they have a mentor on there team?
Cry me a river…. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Mu8MrCR5pQ&feature=fvst
Any team can get a mentor u just need to ask, alot of the higher player are happy to help. and even if seb wants to play for this team, why not? his medic is not gonna be div 1/2 so he willl still get raped by scouts with good team work. or maybe just do ur jobs focus demo and medic.
Simples… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hl545RF6dXA&feature=related
why is the waste of a post allowed to go on, so we can hear all the babys whine?

shrew you’re talking a fair amount of shit there like m8.
Having a mentor to guide you through tactics and improve your teamplay is one thing.
Having a top 4 demoman playing in D5 to single-handedly rape the division is slightly different.
Your comment about the medic is totally irrelevant. If anything a D5 medic will suit numlocked better – he’ll get majority % healing.
I totally understand the whine, especially having seen num rape D3 teams on his own when he’s not crying. I don’t blame numlocked for it at all, I did a season in D4 (as sol, and don’t say it’s the same thing because I’m awful) and it was genuinely great fun, a real chillout from D1. But my point is, don’t call people cry babies et al, they have a perfectly valid point, as pointed out by SnowiE.

yep, just end the fucking thread here, because this is right ^^, end of.
We have Niklas from div2, Fader have Robbaz and Blojan from div2, Energie Oslo have treigzak from div1, OG have Ulv from div2 and Numlocked from div1 and so on…
None of us is sure that the players stay after the season.
I dont think this is some kind of flaw in the system, its evolution, better teams goes up, SOMEBODY must get relegated, I agree that numlocked plays under his div but so does a lot of others.
I dont think anyone had reacted this way if for example Bash had gone to a lower skilled finnish team.
So whats the problem? an englishman in a swedish team?
Calm down and let the boy play where he want.

Ah, ok! So when facing better opponents, just kill them, and they won’t be a problem! Got it!
Umm so if my clan would get a div6 solly and we’d lose our matches because of that, we will go down to the lower division, but if we get a div1 solly that carries us we can’t go up?
I don’t see how the two situations should differ, it’s the same thing happening except it’s reversed.
Welcome in div5 numlocked. I hope I can stick yo ass asap! ;-)

Well its still a mentor really, for 1 season. And when they get div 4 maybe they will just drop back depends what they learn form the season. Also my team has used a top demo to play in some of our games, yes it helped but it was not a roll. was a v close game. helped us understand the pushes more, stuff we prob would’t have thought of.
(maybe they were just a good team we played?) but ended in 7-4 or something.
yes demo is the most powerfull player, but 1 demo on mid when the rest are looking clueless is still not a great advantage, he does need some backup. just depends how quick the team reacts, and some scouts in div 5 are actually good @ aiming.
Got to start somewhere.
