Soldier Weps, Overpowered or not?

It’s the difficulty of a noscope bodyshot at close-range (ok, you have “some” splash to make it less challenging), rewarded by a kill, really impressive if you can manage that. Double standards?
I’m not saying therefore 50 damage is enough, but the other way round i.e. instagibbing is blatantly insane as well. With less falloff damage this weapon is still preferable in many situations. Again: I don’t care what you pretend to use anyway, face this comparison.
Admins, please delete all the offtopic crap in this thread, every serious discussion gets choked by some random noobs (I’m not calling names here).

I think that most of you saying that TDH is overpowered never acutally used it, and only thing like that becouse of INSTAGIBBING. It’s really not that often, and I doubt you understand what -80% spalsh means. It mean that you HAVE to hit your opponent to do any damage and that really not as easy as you might think.
In conclusion: try playing with TDH in pcw/dm/pug and then judge it as op.
P.S.: mini-crit have to go…
I agree completely with exm here (if the mini-crits are removed).
The splash damage is really, really important for the soldier, even if your aim is perfect.
Often you want to deal damage to enemies you cannot see, but you know where they are and can use the surroundings to deal splash damage (for example if enemies are taking cover behind a corner).
Also you can deal damage to multiple targets with the old rl.
Also if you are in closed areas, like indoors, it is very easy to deal a lot of damage with the rl, since even if you miss your target there is a floor, walls and a roof to hit and this will also hurt the enemy a lot.
If the tdh got some of the splash damage back in exchange for lower damage on direct hits and no mini crits, I would be happy.

Played in that cup last night and only one of the enemies throughout the games used it and, being honest, I didn’t even notice – if it was as OP as some claim here don’t you think we’d all of used it? Fact is, it’s a projectile weapon with a tiny hitbox and no splash, in other words it’s useless.
Possible solution to the DH would be removing the mini-crits, increasing the rocket hitbox size to match the demoman’s nades and remove half of the fall-off damage. But even then I’d still not use it, there’s no substitute for multi-target splash damage.
Like I said earlier it’s a weapon which appeals to the baddies, similar to the fan
Just ban it – few are going to care

Why? Other than minicrits on airshots the Soldier would do much better with the original. Why ban it when the original is better in most situations?
The weapon should not one hit kill from long-medium range. Remove mini-crits please and that’ll do for me.
Minicrit has to be disabled. You get so many random kills with it. Other than that the weapon seems fine and quite fresh. I for one will be playing with it till mah hands bleed. If something should be banned its m0re and his sword.

Same applies to the FaN, its not banned but the problem is that when you’re on the recieving end of it in that less likely situation where it is better than the scatter, then you’re properly fucked.
EDIT: What i mean is that doesn’t mean the weapon is OP, it just means its annoying as fuck.

any weapon that can get a 1hit 1kill other than the sniper rifle should be adjusted or banned, its that easy
TDH is a bit Overpowered since you can just one shot Medic and the Scout. The equalizer and Eyelander needs to get slower speed. Seriously its so fucking fast.

How about FaN? Does it 1hit1kill? I mean it fires 2 shots almost instantly and you cant move after getting even 1 pallet (iirc) of the first shot making you just a sitting target for the second. It also deals impressive amount of damage, so, it basicly is 1hit1kill.

basically, almost, what more do you want to say; mebe?! It doesnt kill with 1 shot, and you are able to move after getting hit, just at 10% speed mebe, in the end you need atleast 2 shots.
Just remove mini crits, upgrade normal dmg a little and it will be fine.
Now no more retarded comments (dont start bout stickies, spies and fan, cry babies)
