SAVE THE BANNER. It’s a fair trade for the trusty shotgun,
Though it does need to be taken down a few notches…
– Minicritz for 8 seconds.
– More damage for full ragemeter.
– 25hp less?

I think it adds another dynamic to the game, ie. A medic isnt always needed to push now.
So for that reason, it shoud stay:)

Does anyone read kovacs’ posts anymore? I know he doesn’t bother reading others’ posts.

The reason i think making the splash slightly bigger is to counter act reducing the damage that the rockets do and removing the mini crits. So it’s like a faster rocket that does about the same damage as a normal rocket but the tradeoff is that you don’t hit as many players with it.

TDH saddly slows the game down, cant use aggro jump tactics vs better soldiers atm. They just gib your team insta, now its like cs. You just wait for uber then then push to the next corner and then do it all over again.

Now I have the damage display enabled, is it me or is the Soldier shotgun, just fucking awful and dealing damage, unless the enemy are stood next to you.

Well I wouldn’t really mind if the min damage stayed the same, hitting someone on bl deck from choke is just luck anyways, but it should stay higher in the reasonable combat distances.

Seems that nobody want the mini-crits thank god. And it also seems that most people don’t want to be one hit killed by it. So without them the weapon is somewhat underpowered, that is presuming that even now the original rocket launcher is just as good; so in some way it would need a buff. Either the explosion radius is larger or the rockets fly even faster. I just believe that a slightly larger radius could enable it to juggle so that is why I am biased towards that.

I like the idea of it being a better weapon 1v1 but worse than the original rocket launcher versus anything more than that. Then again they could just make the damn thing fly even faster which would almost defeat the point of it being a rocket in the first place.

Max damage 120 (that’s +7% damage closerange), less damagedecrease (range), minicrit for regular rocket launcher. No additional splash range. That’s on midrange ~+30% damage.

Every single nerf suggested, is basically just making it more like the normal rocket launcher.

I’d also say the mini-crits are one of its defining features. If the damage was adjusted so that a direct hit didn’t kill a scout, then I think it’d be alright.

No need for mini crits with normal rl. It’s got a huge advantage vs groups with more splash. Both weapons don’t need mini crits (also because it knocks people all over the place and you die from fall damage anyways). Just tweak the splash & damage so it’s an alternative for the rl.
