Wow, it was known darn had issues, but refusing him to play with this “higher fov advantage” makes look cc like a bunch of arrogant selfish pricks. Prem sportsmanship lol. Son, i’m disappoint.

The only reason CC would not allow higher fov is because they were afraid it would help Vinland (and Darn) win, there’s no other way to look at it. It obviously sucks that Darn ‘rage quit’ as a result, but CC were in the right to allow/deny the use of it either way due to current ETF2L rules.

Regardless, who cares if Darn left, the only thing that makes competitive TF2 fun are the personalities behind the players, so get over it. CC get a default win and that should be the end of it.

viewers, streamers, casters, players.
Who didn’t care that darn left? No offense BUT It’s easy for someone that’s not involved (anymore) in the tf2 community to dismiss this and say “who cares”.

Personally I’m not upset, I found it entertaining reading the chat and watching the short cast, however not everyone enjoy drama to the same extent.

See if you can follow my line of reasoning here:

You can play the game with eyefinity / custom aspect ratio. > higher fov is actually more “fair” than standard fov because people without 3 monitors
/ big enough monitor to use a custom aspect ratio with smaller height also get to have a higher peripheral vision.
I can play my officials with a custom a.r (which I do) and give the opposing team a “disadvantage” while still being completely within the rules of ETF2L.
So don’t tell me any of this handicap BS when it’s just a preference.

Also, some people on this forum hold the rules in too high regard.
Rules are rules and norms are norms. I can make loud fart noises on the bus and cut in line at the grocery store and still be within my legal right to do so
but that doesn’t make me any less of a reprehensible thunder-cunt. Likewise, I could disallow every merc and refuse every scheduling attempt like some
russian div5 default-hunter and it’d still be within the rules but I’d also be a huge fgt.
I would expect this kind of shit from the source or MW community but not TF2. Hopefully you won’t have set and example for low div teams to follow, CC.
Just admit that this isn’t about handicap or advantage but rather you just like to be dicks.

wp CC for being div5 russians
wp ads for defending them
wp ETF2L for trying to compromise on the fov-issue (w the TFT rule) but failing miserably
wp valve for going out of their way to keep us at 90 fov
wp darn for ruining a prem game with 500 spectators
wp me for letting all this get to me

What a fucking mess.

both parties are at the wrong here.
CC followed the rules but theres no sportmanship.
Darn obviously couldnt play at 90 fov because he is too adapted to the high fov and the sens is different.
so it seems that a certain fermented german sausage didnt wanna play against a player in an equal/normal standards and instead prefered him to play at a disadvantage

Why would you not spent time going back to default FOV when you can´t expect your enemy to allow you to use anything higher than that? It´s exactly what me and tons of others had to do when openplugin got banned.

Is this thread still alive lol

They were afraid of Darn using higher fov, sure… Even with Darn using an aimbot, the game would finish in favor of Crack Clan. But no, they have to be dicks. This is 100% childisch behavior of CC.

And what could happen down the road if they would open the exception?

It’s a bit embarrassing to say the least.

4) Absolutely. The community can’t decry the lack of professionalism in the Prem and then complain when rules are enforced?

Don’t try to be a dick my lovely potato pants, it doesn’t suit you. Leave it to the pre-pubescent portion of your team!

How, more like make darn look like big baby “if I can’t play with red car I dont play at all I don’t want blu car :(((”

Yes exact same thing

And I would deny higher fov everytime just to be dick but I am an asshole and nothing to do with sportmanship

It is no way childis or unsportman like to decide paly with default set up of rules, In my opinion you shold be abel to do any changes in matches if both teams agree whether it is whitch maps how many players they use, hell even if both teams would agree and decide lets just play med duel and winnet takes the match up, but if one teams want to paly default rules than you have to go with it, they don’t need any reason to defend themselves and it’s not unsportman like. it is unsprotman like childis behaviour if you refuse to play if you can’t change rules/game to way you would like.

The top division teams tend to cut each other a lot of slack usually. We’re a small scene after all and everyone would just like to get along.

However there’s usually the one team filled with cunts who stick to their “rule-given-rights” with nails and teeth. Seems like CC are stepping up to take that plate!

And Darn is still retarded.

Think its funny how people are aiming for tf2 to be more ‘professional’ yet players in prem are using names such as “shelikesitrough”. This coupled with the fact that Darn’s a big baby who wasted everyone’s time by throwing a hissy fit, really isn’t exactly emanating professionalism. If people in prem really want to take a more professional approach to tf2, then they must strive for it – it does not matter how many VODs, player insights or team streams there are; if there is trolling and fakenicking at the top level then people will continue to not take this game as an esport seriously.

I dont think there should be a punishment. Especially not a rule.
I mean yeah its clear what happened this time. But in the future if they would make a rule:
You would have to investigate weither leaving the server was because of someone being a dick or if he actaully had to leave because of an emergency. And who says i cant RQ and say – oh my [insert relative] is in the hospital gtg.
It would be easy to dodge the rule and it would start shitstorms when anyone got punished.

oh and of course we should all just let it go. since there hasnt been a single thread on these forums [or any forums ever] where there is a 100% stance on 1 opinion

its a rule you HAVE to show up for match, not showing up is awarded by minor warning and def lose

nothing wrong there and this whole thing has nothing to do with warnings anyway
