So a normal official etf2l match would take 80 minutes? (at the longest, not counting piss/beer/weed breaks) Or am I not understanding this.
30 minutes per game is fine in my opinion.

Actually the two 30 min rounds is the best format to have purely from a spectator point of view. Football, the most popular sport in the world, has these preset time limits and it means fans know how much time they need to dedicate to watching a match. I watch HoN every now and again and in a bo3 match it can go on for three hours… While a bo3 Tf2 game is 90 min, the same as a football match.
vanilla+medic, add coldfront/turbine , delete freight, make all games be played before a date for everyone, and not only for some teams :D
As if scheduling two 30 minute matches isn’t difficult enough as it is with all the different timezones..

usa format is something like this
1 map per week
winlimit 5 (first to 5 rounds)
timelimit 60 (2 X 30 min, or swap teams when 1 team reaches 4 rounds)
personally i’m not convinced a half time is needed in tf2 (yes some maps one colour has better spawn positions but not really a game breaker) for anything other than a drinks break.
I’d rather play a format that involved 1 map per week with a 9 map pool (play each map once), than the current 6 maps X 3 2 map per week format

The reason why I would not like that is due to the fact that if you have to play the hardest team in your group the whole game might be decided by which one map you play, you can argue that every team should be equally strong on every map, but that is never the case, as some maps favor certain play styles. Also if a roll happens it means you only get to play one map for 10-15 min which is disappointing, especially for people watching. Also, again for spectators, it is nice to see a change in map, as it can mean a complete different dynamic.

I’d personally like two 15 minute halves + winlimit 5 but that’s just me (just because I hate people turtling 1 point for 20 minutes after they’ve won 1 round)
Also individual player ready-up system á-la ESEA would be great.
