Anrolif lost his password it seems ^^
Other then a newspost made with it nothing is wrong. All passwords are encrypted so unless you use an obvious pass there is 0 risk with them.

Just to make sure there are no misunderstandings:
No, ETF2L did not get hacked in any way. One of our admins was careless enough to have his password stolen (apparently). Using that admin account someone was able to put up a newspost and post in the forums, nothing more. Once we found out, we disabled the account immediately.
Passwords haven’t been stolen, that is near impossible anyway. They are locked behind a rather decent encryption algorithm. Even with full access to the site, the database, and everything it’s simply not possible to steal any password. So there’s no need to worry.
Plus if your password too etf2l and something important like say your steam account are the same…your an idiot.

fixed :)
There is no such thing as being ‘unhackable’, but there are a vast variety of situations where it is simply not feasible to hack a site. “Hacking” a site doesn’t happen so much any more because simple technologies exist to make everything more secure without much setup penalty. What does happen is human error.
1.) The passwords behind this site are no doubt stored in salted hashes. Unless your password is ‘cats’ or something very simple, I wouldn’t worry.
2.) The main way to get your info stolen is through leaving it in plaintext somewhere or being careless about your security. Use numbers in your password, and don’t just use dictionary words, otherwise your password will be open to attack (albeit not direct brute force attack due to the lockout system implemented on most sites, but if the hacker got the db itself he could brute force it all he liked). Also, be sensible about your security. Remember the earbuds topic? This is the sort of thing I was talking about.
3.) If you’re using the same password amongst sites, you are officially an idiot. You can’t trust one site with your security for another site, and you are bound to slip up somewhere. Have one password per site, and use something like http://www.keepassx.org/ to generate and store them.

I use one password for all the websites I don’t trust my password with. I take offense to this :<

That makes it a high value password.

You annoy me in so many ways… They didn’t take passwords. If you do only have 1 password. I take offence to what an idiot you are.
