Ban Natascha?

In my opinion, diversity is what make TF2 so good and enjoyable, so I’m against banning most of the stuff.

But the fact is that Natasha needs tome tweaking.

Diversity can be a blessing and it can be a curse. The classes in TF2 create a lot of diverse tactics and gameplay as they are(in vanilla). With the including of loads of community weapons etc it’s gonna be damn frustrating to learn to counter every single different opponent you’ll be facing.

Personally I’d rather let dm skill and teamwork decide who wins, not the aspect of who comes up with the most annoying weapon setup to play against.

Very true, but maybe the heavy hits 1% to 5% of his shots at long distance, that rlly can’t be that much of a fuzz to ban it.

Of course it’s not the intended counter, but Valve aren’t stupid, I believe they could foresee the effect it has (which is kinda obvious). It’s the same intention with TDH and Gunboats, one balances out the other. TDH is easier to hit the heavy with, but the Natascha slows down the soldier making him more vulnerable to spam.

I’m not really strongly for or against the ban to be honest, I’m just promoting discussion. Personally, I think applying the slow from huge distances is a bit overpowered.

But I feel if we’re to ban weapons for x reason, then unlocks that also do x should be banned for consistency. Otherwise the first ban becomes trivial and should be lifted.

On a side note, I always thought that Starcraft is awesome, but this fact repels me from playing it.
And yes, Natascha is really annoying to play against, even though it’s not that game changing as some people believe.

Do realize running 2 heavies of any kind forces the med to constantly heal both heavies and that literally sucks all the heals out of the entire team. Its almost impossible to heal them at full health if the other team is actually doing something called spam.

Depending on what kind of class they are using heavy to replace, your scouts should just wait for backcaps really since 2 heavies offers no mobility. Theres also no reasons at all to loose mid if they are running 2 heavies, just be aggressive and make your demo hold off 1 choke points since they’re basically playing 4vs6.

Slowing down at any range is bad, thats the only bad part about natascha. Should do a range limit, being slow down at long range when you’re just hit by few bullets is rediculous.

sasha is by far the better of the two weapons, provided you can track your opponent – natascha is designed for those players who can’t (euros) – for this reason alone I can see no reason why this weapon should be allowed into competitive (skilled) games.
