Started creating team pages

You too can help, just use this template http://comp.tf/wiki/Template:Team_infobox and everything is very intuitive and easy. Image thumbnails are still not working properly but don’t worry Im working to fix it.
We still need a lot of team pages created, help out by creating the most important teams in the different competitions around.
When editing a section, there’s a small textbox below the big editing field that reads “summary” – is that where you describe your change? If not, then where?

Yeah, that’s what it’s for. Don’t have to use it, though.
Cheers!
By the way, the site seems incredibly slow. Is that just me?
Also what is your goal in regards to subjects that are already covered by the other tf2 wiki? ie http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Backstab vs http://comp.tf/wiki/Trickstabs

Exactly, its not obligatory but it helps to patrol the edits easier

I will check that situation with my host, running it on a crappy shared host :(

Depends on the situation. We focus entirely on competitive oriented writing, so for example a weapon page on our wiki would be about competitive uses, strategies, and examples of uses and famous users of that item, very different from what a weapon page on the official wiki would be.
The really small things should go in the Glossary page tho.

This particular example covers spy trickstabs, which, one could argue, aren’t competitive-specific.

Yes thats a very specific example and unless the specific article is expanded soon I will merge it to glossary
As a starting phase I created the entire epsilon esports team roster on the wiki…
Counting on more community collaboration to at least cover all the prem / invite rosters.

It is very easy to do so, just use the already made template here for players http://comp.tf/wiki/Template:Player_infobox
or this one for teams

Remember to follow our editing guidelines

Unless you have a script or something translating the birth date into age, may I suggest using birth date instead of age for the player profiles? Less updatey.

yes I will try to get on that later this week
The site suffered some serious spam attacks today, so I took so severe measures as well. Installed 3 different anti spam plugins, one blacklist for ips and words, 1 for detecting automated scripts and another one that introduced captchas when a new page is created or a current page is edited to introduce an URL only (these URLs have whitelists tho and I have added a small list of websites to the trusted list http://comp.tf/wiki/MediaWiki:Captcha-addurl-whitelist) this just means you won’t be asked for captcha when editing with these links, you can still post other links, but you will have to enter a captcha.
Captchas will only appear to non registered/loged in users or users with no confirmed email address. If you are registered on the site and have confirmed your email address you shouldn’t have to worry about captchas.
These anti spam measures should prevent massive attacks like the ones from today.
Hope you all guys can keep contributing. Still trying to solve the auto thumbnail bug
Haha some of the stuff is really off and lot is really contradictory, like stating first one thing and very next sentence stating exactly opposite.
Good try though have fun
