Hey Guys

Im the head admin for the UK lan events I-series, Competative TF2 is anything but dead i assure you ;). Our largest ever lan attendance was last summer 48 teams, this summer at i46 our attendance is set for around 64 (should get over 400 people) at present. We’ve even managed to raise enough money within our communnity (not just uk community or NA but the whole world of tf2) to fly 2 american teams over give them pc’s and get them to compete on the massive stage, even valve have supported this venture, so they are starting to take notice. If we can get TF2 into the MLG im sure far more sponsors will start to take notice and Valve also, so it would seems its a bit of a catch 22.

Realisticly the MLG may take CS:GO as its new and maybe they want to jump on the bandwagon, espcially if valve puts up a DOTA esque amount of money to support it at a tournament. I’m a fan of cs 1.6 but that game really is dieng a death now surely? You can tell by most of the comments in the 1.6 thread as most people say “Please give us one last big tournament!” i think that says it all.
