I think EnG should be b& from ETF2L cuz of their pings. Cmon. Make my div easier.
Na I keed. Sure the issue could easily be solved if people would buy german-hosted servers, or if they’d stop being dipshits about it.

Have you even read the first post at all? They are hard to hit, ye, if they have poor ul/dl speeds and warping, not because of distance. The server tracks the high pinger avatar and shows it to you, therefore you hit what the server shows you and get credit for it, its not a p2p network where the connection is between you and others, its between you and the server.

*Sigh* warping is unrelated to distance ping. Anyone, no matter how close or far from a server, could have bad upload and download speeds, which cause warping and severe lag.
Also, Animal, if you die around a corner it’s because he hit you when you were out in the open.
lol. Some Egyptians even have better ping then some German, Portugese, French and Italian people i know.

mad cus failed for EnG trial
I would also like to add that such incidents where you get killed behind a wall is only noticable when the killer is a)using a hitscan weapon b) has at least 300 ping

Thats what “In more modern multiplayer online video games implementations” stands for, tf2 is not a client to client. That’s another quote from wiki about server-side lag compensation if you are interested:
Instead, the server will attempt to estimate the delay between the client’s command and the command’s arrival, including any inherent delay due to interpolation (see above), and look into the past in order to see what the shooting client saw at the time the shot was fired. Under ideal conditions, this will result in the server seeing the client firing at the target’s old position and thus hitting, and the hit will be registered. This solution allows players to aim at what they are seeing, and the server will generally be able to compensate for delays well enough for the player to hit their targets without any leading required.

Im 4k km away from NL and sometime i have the same/better ping than some EU guys.

If the killer is lagging you won’t get killed behind a wall. If the victim is lagging, though, it is possible; On the victim’s screen it will appear as if they are behind a wall when they get killed; in reality (ie. on the server) the victim wasn’t actually behind the wall yet.
