Quoted from Waster
It always struck me that more then 70% of the game is communication, teamwork, positioning and understanding the game. While 99% of the players only know how to aim.
Indeed. When I can do well as Scout despite having terrible aim, you know how bad it is!

This! :D
^ Liking the “you’re joking right?” above, made me smile
it was a joke, sheesh :(
It’s funny how in lower divs no one pays attention to the actual ‘gamesense’, everyone just expects you to not die, stack kills and yell the loudest. Yet people claim there’s more to the class than pure aim.
Get a grip already.

I know you fool! :D
But there is more to it than just aim. If I really wanted I could claim all there is to solly is rocket prediction, but I’d be wrong, since you have positioning, “gamesense” (so knowing when to do what, hell of a lot of scouts with good aim go too aggro and fuck things up for their team), movement, awareness, etc.
The game’s Team Fortress 2, emphasis on the Team, aim will carry you for a while, but not forever.
I know this is a -very- tenuous comparison, but would you say the only thing that makes someone good at instagib is aim? Nope.

Here i’d like to point out a thing. Best way to get a decent scout is to watch he’s demo. Yes – booring, but if you want to advance anywhere with your team you need to know what he’s doing. Most people just trial scouts and see how he’s scoutbuddy(who is already in the team) likes him, which IS important, but another factor is actual knowledge and gameplay. Here i’d like to make a reference(dont know if i spelled it correctly) to Quarantine. Who watch demos when recruiting. That’s why not all div4 shitters like me, but people who actually can do a difference get in the team, for example lets take our famous BeaVerN.
That is all.

prime example of all aim no brain is the ‘raccoon’ and look where that got him…
is this some obscure reference or am i being slow?
Mixing with div 6 scouts as Demo = always dive bomb the medic when he is surrounded by teammates and not worry about your team being flanked or run in areas of maps where you have a horrible disadvantage with no regard for where your team is and die. As a result I must retreat because their impatience and selfishness has put us at a disadvantage.
Mixing with some people from Div 3 team = Never got flanked because they are always making sure it is covered, most situations when they go for the medic odds in their favour to pop him/kill him (go when his pocket is distracted, low on ammo or when the medic is lit…etc) rarely position themselves too far from the team, in bad map positions where their team has the advantage in a 1v1 fight and over commit.
