because matches played in etf2l are the extent of people’s highlander experience, come on pala ;)

I like 5cp maps, process is really nice in highlander (beside the huge sniper sightlines). Plenty of flank and big enough to not be a problem.

Most people I know do not enjoy 5cp maps in highlander. Maps are generally too crowded, too spammy, and too grindy, especially when teams are evenly matched. Presumably a lot of teams will be evenly matched in their divisions.
However, eliminating 5cp entirely just discourages anyone from making/tweeking maps to make them more appropriate for highlander. Moreover, the way ETF2L works, eliminating 5cp would eliminate Koth, which I can’t see happening.
Given that, I’d say that Process is probably one of the better 5cp maps for highlander. Follower is also enjoyable, but I doubt a custom map that hasn’t been played in any league for 18 months will be in contention.
Follower is indeed not that bad for Highlander as it is rather broad, making it not total spamfest. But the map itself is not that good imo.
What makes the 5cps real bad for Highlander gameplay is how the midpoints are designed, often too narrow, and offering too few routes between midpoints and CP2s. You’ve got generally not that more than 2 chokes making it unbreathable for pushes.
Last points are sometimes ok for HL, e.g : gully’s.

Why would it? Because etf2l weeks contained 5cp + koth every season? I dont see a problem to run only a koth map per week, especially if etf2l will apply ugc rules for them (2 halves)
as you know irfx, the season is longer this year -> more weeks more maps
what extra maps would YOU like to see then?
I rather play 1 map/match. Koth + 5cp + highlander delays + warmup match = too long matchday.
And also you have to practice only 1 map for that week then instead of 2.
I would like to see Arctic in the map rotation.
