am i the only one who gets more fps with the m0rehighfps.cfg than the maxframes.cfg?
must be some performance issue when used with radar

specs?
I dont care about graphics ;) im using m0res config at the moment and a FPS max of 120.
I can run it normal with high settings, But i like these configs.
I will give it a try ;)
I would use my competive script. Switching between crosshair. Viewmodel on or off for each weapon. Key F = Melee weapon and Key Q is switching between slot 1 and 2.
mouse4 = Fake uber/ screaming help.
btw my specs:
Intel i7 860
GeForce 320GT ( sux )
6GB of ram
amd 3800+ 64 x2 clocked at 2.30 ghz
1.5gb ram
nvidia 6600gt
the fps difference isnt much but its definetly more stable with m0rehighfps

it doesn’t make sense for morehighfps to pull more frames than maxframes as maxframes has even lower settings than morehighfps — it no doubt has the same commands and more (not looked, but I would doubt morehighfps has any more commands than I do in mine), so I don’t think that is possible if tested repeatedly in different environments.
im using moreframes now with a couple alterations just so it looks a little nicer as my pc can handle it
runs at steady 120fps never dips below ^^

Why is this half-shadow there? How can I get rid of it?

I get a 403 when I click that.
switched to your maxframes config as well now, is there any benefit in having my fps capped to 120 if it can get more consistently?

It is already capped at 120 (unless I misunderstood what you said).
120 is a good limit because it makes the framerate more stable assuming that you can go /over/ 120fps (because it doesn’t slow down the progression of the next frame, that’s a bad explanation that’s not technically correct but you should be able to understand what I mean), and because pretty much nobody here has a monitor over 120hz.
It is best to have your framerate capped at a stable point that you are unlikely to go under, but make sure it is something above cl_cmdrate. 120 is fine.
how come when i use m0re’s fps config it looks like my projectiles take off earlier than my normal config eventhough i put the same network settings? X:

I thought this thread was about Chris’ fps configs, not m0re’s.

That’s a source bug related to shadow removal, nothing you can do about that other than r_shadows 0, it’s not related to my config.
Also, here is the real reason you should use maxframes.cfg:
