There has been 1-4 pickups daily, so channel has been somewhat active but we always need more.
You can join channel here quickly: http://webchat.quakenet.org/?channels=tf2.pug.hl. Type !add (e.g. !add spy pyro) to play on pickup and !status to see players.
Let’s get it active then, join the channel now, let’s get it as active as it was when it started.

yeah this booyakh banning everyone! Aura was banned, Warden was banned! If this guy will banning every oldschool player! tf2.pug.hl will only for noobs. What then would be the difference between playing on pug and the lobby? Only communication in mumble? Stop doing shit on pug pls.

Aura was banned because he threw his toys out of the pram as he wasn’t picked and joined the server and distrupted the game. He will get unbanned soon and will stay unbanned if he changes his attitude, it’s not hard.
Warden I have no idea what he did to get banned.

I got picked and joined the server as everyone else did so I decided to get a drink and after I came back the picking started again because apparently the bot did not function properly so the initial picking meant jack shit and I got left out just because people were cba to find 3 subs. If waiting for hours and then being forced to leave after getting picked is fair in your eyes then it’s not me who has to grow up and leave the pram.

Is this the best option for new hl players? It says “all welcome” but I mostly see experienced highlander players here. I sometimes get people turning up at my 6v6 newbie mixes who are totally new to comp tf2 – no lobbies even – and I tell them to try highlander too, to see which they prefer. Would they be well-treated or abused in these PUGs?
I’d say they would be welcome.
There are quite a few newbies in already. The idea of the captains system is try and balance out the strong/weak players across both teams and give some leadership. I’ve not seen any hating on new players, and I’ve played a fair few games now.
They’re welcome but there’s people who do nothing but complain about teammates and cry about everything so it will give a very bad impression and most new people who have to play with people like that don’t continue to play :DD
