Copy-past from our official group. Info about the events this weekend:

This weekend Tip of the Hats is raising money for One Step Camp. TF2Pickup.net decided to help out and donate a set amount of money per played pickup this weekend.

For each pickup played between 17:00 CET on March 29th and 5:00 CET on March 31st TF2Pickup.net will donate:

– Highlander pickup – €1
– 6v6 pickup – €0,50
– BBall/Ultiduo pickup – €0,25

Each pickup will raise the donation amount for Tip of the Hats and support charity.
– Starting at 20:00 CET on March 29th we will stream on the TF2Pickup Twitch channel and cover pickups that are currently active on TF2Pickup.net, have interviews with TF2 legends and raffle some items.
– Casters/Hosts: Haydn & konr with Ducky on camera[/list]
Subscribe to the Twitch channel to get notified when we go live.

—Raffles—
If you’ve played in at least 5 pickups you will automatically enter a raffle to win all Donator Perks for an entire month, or pick one of the many available announcers to tell you to ready up or if it’s time to play. Playing medic you will also enter you in another raffle to earn all donator perks for a month!

For more information about this event check out our special TF2Pickup the Hats page!

Come play and help raise money by playing Team Fortress 2! Don’t forget to bring your friends, team mates and/or Balloonicorns and check out the Tip of the Hats stream!

Hello ladies and gentlemen.
Last two days were really exciting for us. We broke our record for pickups in one day and broke our record for people online. At this point we want to say thanks to all players who joined us this weekend and helped raising the money for Tip of the Hats. They raised ~$105.000 for the kids for One Step Camp, by the way, which is amazing. But lets show our shiny stats aswell now:
During the event we had:
68 6v6 pickups = €34.00 = $46.92
15 9v9(HL) pickups = €15.00 = $20.70
18 BBall pickups = €4.50 = $6,21
17 Ultiduo pickup = €4.25 = $5.86
In total = €57.75 = ~$79.70
We then decided to add another 70$ and donate 150$, as we were really pleased by the amount of pickups played.
We want to say thanks to the all people who were on the stream of Tip of the Hats, who promoted us and gave us a great shoutout there. Big thanks to Haydn, Konr and Ducky, who worked on the stream on Saturday when we did our first pickup broadcast. Unfortunately, Lamqta forgot to turn the recording of the stream so we don’t have VODs from it. Big shoutout to Arie who provided us with a server for mumble during the weekend when we had problems with ours. (that caused the crashes on the mumble and the webserver if you are still wondering). And now its time to announce our winners from our raffle.
-Level 5 donator rank for 1 month – tea, S!IMON and Tritone for “Medics of the event” (per gametype)
-5x Level 5 donator ranks, lasting 1 month – zEaK47, Raptor, Pepis, zen, hedokingoglu
-10x Announcer for a week – esk, Adeel, turkuaz, s0rex, Fuddles, FlamingBear, 0verflow, Oliver Targos, tiagoo, Beater

The winners of the announcers should contact admins through steam/tf2pickup to get their announcer.
Furthermore we will do a item raffle soon, as Kuferl won the 200 unboxed crate raffle and we will use some of those items.
And in conclusion, we should add that’s not the last time we do broadcasting of our pickup channel. We are working on something that might give us the chance to stream every weekend.
Thank you all who played this weekend.
TF2Pickup.net Staff

Must’ve been a pleasure for you all for helping such a great cause. Wish I could’ve donated directly.

With the recent popularity and thanks to our amazing donators we were able to upgrade a couple of our web/content/mumble servers and prepare us for the future and our soon to come NA pickups!

Some things that have recently been changed or added:

– BBall now has a 2 seconds respawn (and its own whitelist)
– Pre-ready timer – Ready yourself up for a few minutes so you can go AFK/grab a drink/…
– Browser notifications for different phases of the pickup (Readying up)
– New mumble server (type !mumble in chat for the info)
– Enable Pyrovision (April Fools theme) temporarily with !pink in chat (!normal to disable)
– More announcers (some will be added soon):
– – Pyrovision version of Team Fortress 2 responses (for everyone!)
– – Pyrovision Admirable (Donator lvl 1)
– – Salamancer – Team Fortress 2 Shoutcaster/SalTV (for everyone!)
– – Jon – BlackOut Gaming TV Cameraman (Donators)

Preview all available announcers on a special page we made for that, change the announcer on your Profile and don’t forget to check out the Donator perks to see when you can pick your favourite announcer or how to donate in items!

Add up (and pre-ready!) and have fun playing on TF2Pickup.net!

By playing pickups you enter yourself in those raffles, more info here on our Official Steam Group.

————————————————————-

This weekend there is a small Highlander tournament for newbies sponsored by TF2Pickup.net, more information about that here.

We’re looking for someone who can (help us to) develop a ranking system for TF2Pickup.net that is not based on the etf2l divisions (as it is now).

It’s for balancing the pickups in the best possible way of course.

Mainly looking for people who can develop most of it on their own, but if you got a good idea how make it the most accurate (and can’t program), you’re welcome as well.

Simply add me on steam so we can talk about details etc ;)

Never really thought of that. We will see what we can do, but should be no problem.

Also tftrue is fixed, so we got logs again =)

Nice effort, but that is a very confusing graph.
